An almost-17-minute video in which he comments on the today's vote to grant the so-called Power 5 conferences autonomy on certain matters.

RE: Comments From Purdue AD Morgan Burke On Autonomy
- "Democracy is not easy. It can be messy and yet it can create sustainable processes and that was our objective."

- "This past year was really all about structure. Now things can turn to the substance."

- Things will not be fixed in six months

- Scholarship as defined today does not fully cover the cost of attendance.

- Presidents will focus on strategic issues and oversight of the association and not bother with the management. AD's back in a greater role.

- "Competency, not a person's title, drives who may mend (?) these structures going forward."

- Engaging with student-athletes wherever possible in the process. Representation in NCAA matters

- An idea about getting recent graduates involved

- Preserving the whole of Division I

- Reason for returning to Purdue is to preserve the student-athlete experience

- $2.7 billion in financial, merit-based aid across all three divisions

- "We're not pure amateurs anymore. We are not professionals. We've created a hybrid."

- Discussions on concussions, youth football safety ongoing

- NCAA has catastrophic insurance. Would like to see other programs do similar to what Purdue is doing

- Time demands on student-athletes should be looked at sport-by-sport

- Academic preparation of incoming student-athletes

- Five items in the cost of attendance model: room and board, tuition and fees, books, travel expenses, miscellaneous expenses. Idea of getting five financial experts and five AD's to determine what's the proper way of determining the last two items.

- Lots of debate on closing the gap between the scholarships and the full cost of attendance

- Says Purdue won't need to cut sports but can't say about other schools
