New Kids on the Block
I remember coming on this sites prior to the new members first year and hearing fans warn that this will not be conference USA, don't expect to come into the BE and do as well, even heard how we would water the conference down. Well supposedly this is the best year ever for the conference and here are the standings:

2006 STANDINGS
Louisville 4 1 .800 9 1 .900
Rutgers 4 1 .800 9 1 .900
West Virginia 4 1 .800 9 1 .900
USF 3 3 .500 7 4 .636
Cincinnati 3 3 .500 6 5 .545
Pittsburgh 2 4 .333 6 5 .545
Connecticut 1 4 .200 4 6 .400
Syracuse 1 5 .167 4 7 .364
Through Nov. 22, 5:20 p.m. ET

Not too bad for new kids. I think we are doing our part.

We must have been talking about basketball - not football ;-)

First go around in the conference was a bit of a different story though for the newbies. It was much different than playing in C-USA. I am glad though that the BEAST is doing so well, especially the newbies, and that the ACC is crap. Here's to a long lasting commitment to excellence for the entire Big East Conference.

Not really. South Florida went to a bowl, Louisville went to the Gator Bowl, and Cincinnati was in a major rebuilding mode, yet still won a couple of conference games and looked solid.

Louisville was expected - South Florida and Cincinnati weren't.
