Yup but Rutgers as long as hes there and we keep having success will always have more upside than Miami. We're a large flagship public research university for a highly populated and wealthy state covered by two of the largest media markets in the world. We have great high school football that produces stud college players every year maybe not as many studs as Texas, California, Ohio, or Florida but just as high quality. That being said I don't think he leaves for Miami or for the few delusional Alabama fans talking about it Alabama. If State Penn came calling I'd be worried that's a job thats much more up his alley.

The dream of a College football coach is to coach at a world class Institution, rutgers is not there yet. I would like to say that Schiano will retire at Rutgers, but he won't.............He has roots in Miami and the reality is he may be gone.............

For the sake of the BE i hope he stays........When UConn had its two years of success, we all thought wow, now it's back to reality. The ghost of the past still haunts Rutgers, it will take three more years of winning football to nudge it deep in the memory..........

Do you consider Virginia Tech and Kansas State "world class institutes"? Because they weren't on the map until Beamer and Snyder showed up. And how do you know he won't retire at Rutgers? Roots in Miami? The guy coached at Miami for, what, a year or two!?

The ESPN360 network is saying that Schiano is the leading canidate also a consultant for Miami is saying the same thing., There was rumors about Coker leaving and that came true. I don't have a good feeling about this...........I think he is gone>>>>>>>>>>>>>

The Big East has become a small tough league top to bottom. Like one poster put it, it's a small league that beats up on each other, that will only get stronger, this level of competition will stay.
I predict L'ville and WV will represent the BE in the BCS.

Greg Schiano Will Not Be Going
I have the utmost faith that Greg Schiano will not be going to Miami. People like to claim he has such great ties there but the truth of the matter is that he only coached with the Hurricanes for a couple of years. He is New Jersey born and bred, got his coaching start as a grad assistant at Rutgers, and has always had a dream of turning the Scarlet Knights into a national power. He is very close to being able to achieve this goal. I would be completely stunned if he walked away from all that he has built.

Everyone assumes that coaching in the BEast is second rate, and a good coach would jump at the chance to leave for greener pastures. The experts also thought the BEast would be dead now. I wonder what the next incorrect prediction will be.

Guys lets be realistic here. All coaches should hear any offers given to them and MONEY does play a part. Schiano is the golden child now because he is finally winning but it was only a couple seasons ago that his head was in the chopping blocks. Fans and schools are fickle and will turn on a coach after 1 or 2 bad seasons.
