MOVE OVER SEC
Will there ever be an undefeated team in the Big East in the forseeable future? I don't think so. We'll have to take some of the old scripts by the SEC coaches this year and rewrite them for years to come. Starting next year. Depending on what they do in their bowl games, WVU, Louisville, and Rutgers should all start nex6t season in the top 5 - 15. If South Florida wins out their bowl game they stand a chance of cracking the top 25 at the end of this year. Pitt will still have the third best talent in the conference and Cincy is a comer. My God next year will be unreal and it only gets harder, Syracuse and UConn aren't foot mat material you know. So if you are waiting for your team to go undefeated and get in a NC game...lol lol lol don't hold your breath.

After today, I really really really hope BE champ does not end up in the Orange Bowl against a pathetic ACC team. It would not be fair to our league to pound a sorry team and no one would respect us either for doing that.

We need to play a good team from another conference. Please let the BE champ end up somewhere else. Let Boise or someone else play the ACC champ.

I think this league will be very tough top to bottom next year. I don't see any easy road games in the conference. Both CUSE and UCONN should improve. WVU, UL and RU should still be good. Cincy and USF are very solid teams top to bottom. PITT got talent but they need to play better. PITT is probably the most disappointing team this year.

I have no idea what will happen next year but it will be tough to be the champ in the BE next year.

Anyone got a list of OOC teams we have to play next year? Everybody better win all of their OOC games next year cause in-conference will be a bloodshed.

1000-1 odds of that happening. Tech-WF to the Orange and Boise to Fiesta.

I heard some conversation on this today. Where the Big East champ goes hinges on the SEC championship game. IF Arkansas beats Florida in the SEC championship game, then the Big East champ could very well end up in the Sugar Bowl playing the Hogs, with Florida going to the Orange Bowl. LSU has to be routing for Florida to win. If Florida beats Arkansas, then expect the Big East champ to play in the Orange Bowl.

Miracle Scenario
If a miracle happens, and Notre Dame somehow falls out of the BCS Top 14 due to their second blowout loss of the season, it would pave the way to get two Big East teams and two SEC teams into the BCS. The easiest way to make this happen would be for Rutgers to beat West Virginia and claim the autobid while Louisville gets an at-large by virtue of being ranked 4th or 5th by the end of the season. The Cotton Bowl would then use their one time exemption for Notre Dame. It is a good year for this as the Big 12 has eight bowls but only 7 teams over the .500 mark. The Big East would be able to fill all of our bowls with no interference.

Pitt has very little depth on our OL and DL. Against Louisville we started 2 true freshmen and a true soph on the DL. We lost 2 OL and 2 DL for the season. We are playing a true freshman and a true soph on the OL as well. There is another true freshman in the 2 deep on the OL. We are redshirting a bunch of linemen this year because they aren't physically ready to go. Next year we will have better depth but little experience. Our 3rd string OL aren't even DI-A talent. I expect to see several of them leave after this year.

Walt Harris recruited skill players and ignored the lines. By 2008 Pitt's lines will consist of mostly 4* players. There are 2 true freshmen in the 2 deep with 2 more coming in this year. There are also a bunch of 3* players along with them. Harris recruited mostly 2* and 1* players along the lines. That is our biggest problem right now.

What most college fans want is for the Big East, ACC, Big 12, and Boise to be ghettoized against each other, so as not to spoil the othert bowl games.

Here's a preferred list of BCS matchups:

title game: tOSU - USC
Rose Bowl: LSU - Michigan
Sugar Bowl: Florida - Notre Dame
Orange Bowl: GA-Tech - Louisville
Fiesta Bowl: Boise - Oklahoma

Excuse you? What you meant to write is that is your preferred list of BCS match-ups. Here is a newsflash for you. Louisville would take LSU to the woodshed and obliterate them. So would Rutgers. And so would West Virginia when they don't have fumblitis. If you want to ride the high and mighty SEC baloney pony, go over to the SEC board and get down on your knees already, not that there's anything wrong with that. You are obviously not a Big East fan. You're nothing but a stupid shoe sniffing LSU flamer. Not there's anything wrong with that either.
