2014 Big Ten Football Predictions
I don't see the loss of Braxton Miller playing a large role in terms of wins and losses. But national title hopes are likely out the window.
Wisconsin and Michigan State look to be the favorites.
How do you see the the conference playing out?
Here's our preview (which was done way before the Miller injury)

RE: 2014 Big Ten Football Predictions
I remember last year, Guiton was much better for that team than Braxton was but Braxton was the guy and was heavy in the Heisman race.
This Barrett kid bypassed the third year sophomore in the race to replace Braxton. That means he isn't garbage. Who knows, maybe he will fit in better with the offense like Guiton did. This could turn out to be a blessing for Ohio State fans. This could turn out to be a huge blessing for folks who are placing bets on Ohio State right now.

I am confused. You say Michigan is a favorite but you predicted them only 3rd in their division.
Anyway I predict
East
1. OSU
2. MSU
3. MD
4. INDY
5. MICH
6. PSU
7. Rut
West
1. IOWA
2. NEB
3. WISC
4. ILL
5. Minny
6. Nw
7. Pur

My fault, meant to type Michigan State.
To He1nousOne: Ohio State will be fine, Barrett fits the role well.
To goofus: What do you like about Maryland and Indiana?

I like the offense a lot. Tough B1G schedule though.

Its a combination of expecting Indy and MD to improve and Mich and PSU to decline.
I thought Michigan was awful down the stretch last year that exposed some issues that will take some time to fix, even with a new high profile OC brought in to fix the offense.
PSU has a new coach and 3 years of penalities that will affect their depth. Combine those 2 factors, I think Franklin will use his first year as a developmental year with an eye on the future.
This is the do or die year for Kevin Wilson at Indy, so he is not going to hold anything back. A lot hinges on whether a new DC can make the defense respectable.
Md I hear has a lot starters returning from a 7-6 team, but their schedule will be a lot tougher. It will be interesting how all those veterans handle it if they start to lose.

Good stuff!
The biggest issue for Penn State will be the offensive line, lack depth and experience.
Totally agree about the defense needing a big change from the new DC for Indiana.
Michigan should be fine had four losses by a touchdown or less last season. Bring back 17 starters and a good freshman class.
Maryland is very intriguing, hard to get over the schedule though.

RE: 2014 Big Ten Football Predictions
Michigan has to prove it to me for me to believe in them again. They have been, by far, the team that has done the least with the most. How many seasons has it been now that they finish quite a bit lower in the rankings than where they start?
The entire conference needs them to figure out how to get their players on the same page.
