We have so many legit options at RB that I'm surprised none of the younger ones have transferred particularly Thomas, because he's probably the most highly rated back we've signed and he's not even able to crack into the top five. Perhaps that's why you're never going to see any one back get more than 12 to 15 carries (even the guy who is listed #1 on the depth chart).

Was very impressed with the MT backfield this weekend. Having said that WKU had 4 top-notch RBs last year. It appears that Petrino's and maybe Brohm's philosophy as well is to pcik one horse and ride him until he needs a break as opposed to rotating as MT does. Becasue of that the back-ups get less exposure. Leon Allen is a stud for WKU but only got 50-60 carries last year.
Different philosophies for different teams.
Stockstill's way seems to work for MT,
Brohm's way appears to work for WK

So far, in WKU fans opinions, is there a big difference between what Petrino did (style-wise) vs. Brohm ?

Stockstill was saying that it is quite different, from watching last year's tape.

A few wrinkles were added but essentially the same offense and in Year 2 our players are more adjusted and used to the new offense now..We are definitely moving at a faster pace than last season but probably due to the players more comfortable with offense this season....I wish Brohm would use a full back every once in awhile that BP did when we need a yard here or there...Really struggled in short yardage situations Saturday and I think our OL is not as good at run blocking as we were last season......Defense is the same as last season on DL, but what's killing us is we lost a lot from the back 7 and its really hurting us so far this season...

We have struggled with 3rd and 4th and short for years. This year we seem to have finally broken through.

I wish we would use our Tight Ends more, like Western. You always seem to have a couple of studs at that position.

Yea I noticed you guys did not have a TE who ran routes or I did not notice one....WKU must be one of the few schools in FBS that uses a pass catching TE....Not many TE's get play in college football nowadays seems like which I find odd....
