How many physical altercations or near physical altercations with opposing fans/students/players have you been in?

I've been to about a dozen P5 stadiums, ULM, FAU, stAte, Troy, Memphis(twice), Houchens(twice), three bowl games.

In basketball: Diddle(three times), Tennessee, UALR, Troy, Austin Peay, and four conference tournaments(ULL, USA, Hot Springs twice).

And I've never come close to getting into a physical altercation with opposing fans and I was a big time heckler as a student.

The common element in all this nonsense is you. I'm not saying 100% of the blame falls on your shoulders, but you remind me of a guy I had to stop going out drinking with in college because no matter where we were it only took a few beers for him to decide someone was giving him the stink eye. Probably 75% of the fights I saw in college involved him, and some of the time the other guy started it, but at one point it just occurred to me that whether he started it or not, he was the common element and even when the other guy started it, he always made matters worse.

No one is out to get you ToT, you just find trouble. Again, not saying you're 100% to blame, but take a look at how other WKU fans interact with MT fans, hell even Mathenis and dahbeed, two other Topper fans who mix it up with MT fans don't draw anywhere near the vitriol that you do.

I find it offensive that you think a fortunate background means I should have everything served on a silver platter. My father believes firmly in making your own way. He grew up on a farm and was the son of a school teacher. Through entrepreneurship he has made a comfortable life. But entrepreneurship also have him a firm belief I hard work. So in high school I started working and saving my own money. I was blessed to grow up the way I did, but nothing but personal success will make me successful in my field.

I am pulling for MT to win, but would also like for WKU to win.

You sound like you're proud of your "abrasive personality" and refusal to "back down for anyone".

I never hesitate to speak my mind and I can't tell you the last time I backed down for someone. People are nice ToT, we're both lucky enough to live in the south where we're known for our especially nice people.

My suspicion is you were bullied as a kid so you developed this "abrasive personality" as a defense mechanism, but I'm not a psychiatrist, maybe you were the most popular kid in your school, but at any rate I'd think an abrasive personality is something you'd want to correct as you grow older, it's not necessary, you are an adult ToT, most people are going to be nice to you if you're nice to them and those that won't are worth your time or effort.

But who am I to tell you how to live your life? If you want to wear your abrasive personality like a badge of honor, that's your business, but if that's how you're going to live your life, why are you so surprised when you find yourself in confrontations? Why try to pass the blame when you admit that you are abrasive by nature.

I hope you've realized by now that I have no vendetta against you or your school. If you enjoy your current role on this board just keep doing exactly what you've ben doing, especially taking blueraidersig's bait every time. If you just ignore him specifically, you'll probably eliminate half your problems.

Take some, all, or none of my advice, I'm done giving it, that's not what I want to be about. If you want to focus on being the guy that I've had positive conversations with and even tried to work together to make this rivalry better, great, I like that guy. If you want to be just a normal fan, talk sports with respect and civility and occasional good natured ribbing cool, that's what the majority of us are here for, but your accusations against me as a mod really pissed me off and I meant what I said, if that's who you want to be, I'm just done, be that guy if you want, just keep it in line with the AUP and you'll never hear from me.
