I think if every team in the MWC and AAC that currently has two losses finishes with four, then if ECU wins out they get the Access slot.
Oh, and Marshall loses too.

Well, there you go. A whole lot of thread for nothing.

The thread was very useful in highlighting and discussing issues related to the choice of the G5 Access spot.
With Marshall losing today, that just got even more interesting, for those who care.

Yes it did. Its still Boise St spot to lose. If they lose then its a toss up between Marshall (Assuming they win their conference, NIU (Assuming they win their conference), and whoever wins the aac.

No, I don't think so. With their schedule (and, yes, not entirely their fault, if U Louisville had not pulled out, and OhioU had not had such a down year for the Bobcats, it would have been a much better SOS) Marshall needed to go undefeated to be in the hunt.
Its come down to whomever wins the AAC, whomever wins the MWC, and NIU with an outside shot if both the AAC and MWC champions are sufficiently damaged. If the AAC had a CCG this year, the odds of it being either the MWC or AAC champion would be even higher, since in most year one or both of those CCG winners will be a shot at the Access Bowl spot with the CCG win as an additional quality win added to their resume.

I can see Marshall being eliminated but if the MWC champion isnt boise I dont think they have a shot.

Agreed. Marshall's ONLY chance was to be unbeaten. That was their only claim to fame. No matter what happens from here on out, they are out of the Access Bowl running.
