RE: Is ECU a given for the G5 Access Bowl spot?
I think ECU's going to win this though. 3 fumbles. They have 236 yards in the first half, to Temple's 52.
If Temple doesn't start moving the ball, there's no doubt they are going to lose.

ECU trails Temple 14-3 at the half. I expect ECU to come back and win because Temple has no offense. But if they don't, I won't dance unless it is clear that the new G5 front-runner isn't as prominent as ECU. Hopefully, Marshall would pick up the mantle but the CFP clearly doesn't like them.

the thing that is so funny- 1 major team that could get into the mix then is UCF which would be worse for quo even.

UCF has two losses ... probably not a problem.
BTW, Temple now leads ECU 20-3, late third quarter.

I dunno. If not UCF- Boise. CSU will be a HUGE factor if Boise loses. It's not Marshall guaranteed at all now.

Far from over. Remember, Temple is a BAD football team. ECU can still win this.

It's over. It's that typical ECU stinker game that think they have almost every year. (of course could see it coming the last month with how they've been playing).

But it will be interesting to see what will happen next week in the rankings.
ECU will drop out no doubt after this performance.
Marshall will probably remain unranked.
Boise has two losses
UCF has two losses.
If UCLA losses tonight I think CSU gets into the 25 spot.

ECU is done along with this thread Quo. Consequently, you can start another thread: "Is Marshall a given for the G5 Access Bowl spot?"

Too bad the AAC teams don't get the same circle-jerk ranking effect for knocking each other off as the SEC.

How is that not reviewed!!!!
Not saying it would be overturned but at least look at it!!
Could cost ecu a shot at a much better bowl

Is ECU trying to ruin this thread? I thought this thing for sure would carry us through Thanksgiving.
I wanted to see how this plays out. Of course if a two loss team (ECU, UCF, Boise) were to carry the flag, then it would be really telling.

That is exactly what they are doing. That was the whole premise of most of the ECU fans argument. And I wouldn't be quick to say that is wrong for them to grade a P-5 win better than a G-5 win because in about 80% of the cases a P-5 win is better than a G-5 win.
I should point out, that while this doesn't necessarily apply to you, if you read many of the threads started by some on the AAC board, namely when they call the P5 "The Entitled 5" or something similar, this notion realy flies in the face of the mantra of the lower P5 schools not being any better than the mid G5 schools, that is often repeated.
Anyway, I just came out of a two day hangover. From about the end of the game on Thursday, til about ten minutes ago I was a combination of hammered, unconscious, hungover, and smashed. And snapped out of it to see this :(
