I think he'd still be tempted. He's getting older and I'm not sure leaving LSU now would be a good move, but he was all but signed the first time and it was the early reporting and LSU making the national title bowl that held him out. The 2nd time I don't get the impression he was really considered (although he should have been). That said, I'm not entirely sure either way and I don't think it will come to that as I think choice 1A in Harbaugh will be chosen.
Why would he take on such a challenge at this point in his life and his career?
Harbaugh is seriously on the outs in San Fran and from what is being said, he really doesn't seem to be cut out to be an NFL coach. He had great success early but his welcome has worn thin and when you turn this good of a team against you this badly, you can just consider yourself blackballed.
His style of coaching is exactly what is needed in Michigan. They need someone to make them tough again.
Harbaugh will be the coach of Michigan next year.

They say that Les definitely will not come as long as Brandon is running the show. Well, it looks like that little problem might get fixed. But, I still don't believe that Les would want a new challenge.
Without Brandon, Jim Harbaugh might also be more probable, but I think it really depends on how much of an attitude he would bring with him. Brother John seems most likely to me at this point.

I hear that Arizona has this innovative offensive genious coach that has his team 5-0. Maybe he could get that Michigan offense going

I don't think it would be a good move for Les at this point, but he really wanted to coach at Michigan in the past. If that desire is still there, he might be willing to take on the challenge even though he's pretty set at LSU. I'm not saying he would do it, but I also wouldn't bet money against.
That said, I agree completely. Harbaugh will be the next Michigan coach.

He didnt recruit/develop the defense you have to have to play against hard nosed big ten offenses, out west you face those fast teams that fits how he recruits.

I don't get the support Rich Rodriguez talk.
He could have used the players he had and slowly went to the spread option. No he ran his system without players who fit it.
Had the first losing season in 42 years and got Michigan on probation. He also cried in the middle of that crisis at an alumni dinner.
Home at least ran the spread year one and probably needs to now. The young line and QB aren't good enough for the pro style offense. I think Hoke returns next year with six or more wins maybe five.
