ACC has 4 of the top 10 on the defensive side of the ball.

IMO that's more a statement on the futility of many ACC offenses, than it is about ACC defenses.

GT should still be thanking the ACC replay officials for the Ga Southern game that reversed the forward pitch call to a fumble despite screen shots clearly showing the ball moving slightly forward.

Without that call late in the 4th, Ga Southern wins the game.

It was lateral. They don't give you inches/a foot on pitches.

Is there video of this play? I want to see for myself.

It was ruled an incomplete pass on the field and replay officials reversed the call to a fumble. Clearly the ball moved slightly forward. Absolutely not indisputable evidence required to overturn the call on the field.

NFL expert Mike Periera said it was a terrible replay reversal.

You're talking about maybe 1/2 to 2/3 of one FOOT forward.

Here's a better idea: don't pitch it to the guy who is clearly not open, has outrun the proper pitch relation position, and has zero prospects for even an uncontested fielding of the pitch. Only bad things will happen to you if you pitch that ball there. As somebody who deals with Ron Cherry's crew on an annual basis ... never put the game in the hands of the zebras.

That is true, but the officials on the field made the right call and to have the replay officials reverse the call to make it incorrect is ridiculous when the burden of proof is that the evidence must be indisputable. Not only was it not indisputable, they reversed a correct call.

It is as if they threw out all the replay guidelines and rules and said "we think he meant to pitch it backwards, therefore we are going to call it a fumble even though it actually went forward."

I didn't actually watch the game, sounds like Georgia Tech got some home cooking.
