TU v UCF Observations
72 total yards passing says it all. Dane Evans just can't win a game with his arm if he has to throw the deep pass on a consistent basis. Managing a game is just coach speak for saying your QB can't win with his passing ability. He doesn't have the arm strength imo. And the TD catch was a "gift" that I'm not sure "WAS" a TD.

201 total yards of offense isn't enough to win "any" college game unless you have a defense similar to the Seahawks. I just don't think Dane is up to the task at this level in this league, unfortunately. And now that Burgess' career at TU may be over, we are in real trouble imo.

WE need major change in the FB program - and coaching salaries may not be the main obstacle.

IMO

RE: TU v UCF Observations
I watched the Tulsa offense last night, hopefully with an open mind, to see where the problems were.......it didn't take long to see, Tulsa basically runs 4 or 5 plays with some slight variations.........BB had to have more plays than that even when he coached in high school.......I've never seen a high school team have a less imaginative offense. Our offense looks like a bunch of guys on a playground coming up with simple plays to run.......you go long.....you do a 4 yard slant or we'll just run it between the tackles.......that's 90+% of Tulsa's offense.......all game long, 1st half and 2nd half, no change. It really is hard to believe. Dane may or may not be a college QB, it's hard to tell from our offense, when the defense pretty well knows where every pass is going. Dane definitely needs more touch on many of his passes, he throws it way to hard in most cases but that maybe because there is always a defender within 2 feet of his receiver. If we ran an offense where the receivers actually got open once in a while he might be OK but that remains to be seen. To put this as nice as I can.......Tulsa's offense is absolutely horrible, NO imagination, no variations, completely predictable........based on the offense alone, BB should be gone as soon as possible, I wouldn't wait til the end of the season.......if by some chance our AD and President don't have the balls to fire him this year, they should both be fired because it could just about be the end of major College football at Tulsa if this goes on one more year and our recruiting gets any worse!!!!

The football team is already full the players his staff has recruited. It would take at least 2 years for another staff to make an impact recruiting wise at a min. If BB is at Tulsa next year it would take about 3 or 4 years. For a new staff to do well.
