I haven't watched everyone, but with a very short view I'll go with:

UTEP
Charlotte
ODU
La Tech

La Tech is the one I see with the most ability to move up. They have a lot of new guys. They may improve significantly as they get more experience against collegiate teams. They could still very easily finish first, they've just looked kinda ugly in some of their early games (but fortunately haven't had any WTF losses).

Washington St. might play in the Pac-12, but they're pretty close to a cupcake these days.

Let's pump the brakes a little and talk more about this Friday. Xavier (assuming we do play Xavier) is probably going to be the second best team we would play this year. They've looked pretty go so far this year and won't be an easy out for the Miners by any stretch of the imagination. I'm hoping we blow Princeton out by about 30 and San Diego takes Xavier to 3 OTs.

Beating up on a depleted team and barely pulling it off. Something to definitely brag about.

The old time WKU fans were excited about moving to a more basketball centric league such as CUSA. It appears that we would do better in a football centric league where our basketball team could compete.

The way USM has played SO FAR in home games against South Alabama and Troy as well as a road game at Alabama, I see us finishing no better than 10th

We will be .500 or so in league games. Probably will lose a close one to Drexel next game.

Wisconsin boatracing UAB. Pretty expected though.

20-8 Wisconsin with 9 minutes remaining. Wisconsin shooting almost 70%. UAB shooting under 30%.

Only one player from UAB scored in the first 19 minutes of play. Only 3 players get any points at all. 17-37 at half.

Wisconsin's pretty damned great.

Not so great: the Atlantis as a basketball venue. It looks like they're playing in the American Gladiators studio. Obviously it's been a pretty successful tournament, given the teams they've drawn over the years, but it almost looks staged.

49ers will get their shot at The Don on February 12th in front of 12,222 rabid fans.

Morehead State having their way with Marshall. Hopefully they can close the gap, but this is some awful basketball on both sides.

Watching the Marshall game, they need to slow Morehead down. Nice crowd and fun listening to our old head coach Blaine Taylor.
