I don't know, ECU had their share of mistakes. The penalties they were committing were unreal. Seems that the game balanced out in the end. I'm just glad that UCF got out of there with a win!

Week 15 games:

12/4 - UCF @ East Carolina - UCF's Defense is better than ECU's offense. ECU's defense is worse than UCF's offense.

LOL. I wanna see Holman try and throw it. Not gonna happen. If USF can hold you to 16, I like our chances 03-lmfao

Lol. Please don't tempt us, if you make us pass you're going to make Holman look like Bortles Incarnate. Hell, maybe even Peyton.
More like Flutie!

I thought the penalties were unreal too, but probably not the same as you meant to use it.

Honestly it may just be an emotional response to the events I just saw unfold, but I've seen enough of Ruffin McNeill in Greenville. His clock management is the worst of any head coach in the country. The last offensive possession of this game just goes and justifies my opinion. The defense was lights out in the 4th and the offense scored 3 TD's on their last 4 drives. When you get the ball on the opponents 15 yard line with 1:45 left on the clock and your team is clicking that well. YOU PUT POINTS ON THE BOARD!!! You can not run the clock out by taking a knee 4 times when the opponent has a time out left. You would think a coach with the years of experience he has in football would know this, but no apparently it is acceptable to just knell down 4 times and give the ball back with 15 seconds left.
And penalties have killed this team this year. They have killed offensive drives and extended defensive drives all season. Yet he goes on the record and says that they are not going to address it because he doesn't see it as an issue. This team is so undisciplined that a player actually unstrapped his helmet on the field during the hail mary. That is a coaching and leadership issue!
Ruff is out of his element as a head coach, he hasn't won a big game that mattered as the coach of ECU he has lost 4 games in 5 that would have clinched either the division or the conference title, in fact his record against teams with records above .500 is 7-23? 7-24? How can you possibly expect to build a competitive program if you can't beat good teams? Nobody respects a team that just beats Cupcakes (See 2014 Marshall). He has made his name beating bad UNC and NC State teams two years in a row, for some that's all that matters, but until we let go of the grudge we have with UNC and NC State and actually concentrate on things that matter like winning conference championships we will never grow as a program.
Coach Ruff was the guy ECU needed when we took over 5 years ago, as he made us relevant again on the national stage, but he is not the coach we need to get us to the next level. I hope he's gone and the AD get's a coach in that isn't afraid to go for the throat when needed. 2-3 in the final 5 weeks of the season, totally unacceptable when you are loaded with seniors as talented as we have! There are at least 4 guys graduating this year that will play on Sundays!
I'm done!

So you're bitching about losing to UCF and Cin when all Pirates knew those would be tough games? Yes the way they ended suck, but all in all we had a great season and the future couldn't be brighter for ECU football.

I'm not bitching about losing, I'm pissed off at the WAY we lost those two games which IMO lies squarely on the play calling and clock management in the final two minutes. That is a coaching issue!

You can't blame the receivers when he throws a 5 yard slant pass as hard as he would a hail mary. 03-lmfao

I don't remember the drops in this game specifically, but that's an issue that has plagued us all year. Brad Edwards actually brought up Holman during the FSU/Louisville game as an example of a QB who doesn't have a good touch yet lol.

UCF had at least three wide open passes down the sideline that would've been 20+ yards that were dropped.

Hardy had two or three drops himself. It happens.

Hardy had one, and it was contested. Watch it again.

smh. You need to argue everything I guess. You need to stop hunting for false victories. You lost, just get over it.
