I also don't think the Pirates have seen a defense as good as UCF's! I'm glad UCF doesn't sling the ball all around the field like Cincy!

You are a pretty tough judge to call both "mediocre."

Who have both teams beaten that makes you think either team is good? Both beat up on bad teams..ECU's best wins are two bad teams in the cheaters and Hokies! UCF hasn't beaten anyone worth a darn either! I'll reserve judgment until the bowl game to see how good these teams really are.

By P5 standards...maybe.

I think with it being Senior day for the Cardy Duo and UCF playing for a share of the title, this will be a great game. ESPN on Thursday night will have most of the country's attention. Can't wait to see if the Pirates play like they care for a change. If they don't get up for this one then UCF will have a field day on the most bi polar defensive unit in the country.

I'm pretty sure we aren't going to run 40 times a game like we would in years past. Especially if Stanback and Wilson are still unhealthy.

We've got a monster WR corps (even with Worton out) in Hall, Perriman, and Reese. I suspect our OC is going to be targeting them as much as possible.

I have a hard time believing ECU will be an underdog at their house against UCF.

lol ECU with the reverse psychology. UCF fans know how dangerous your offense is when it gets in a rhythm. This will be a tough game and UCF should be a road dog

I think GOL is wrong on several things but if there's one thing the man has proven, it's that he knows how to slow down and beat high tempo offenses who are used to putting huge points on the board.

Pretty much a toss up IMO.

I have a hard time believing O'Leary won't win his very last conference game as coach.

Which actually is a whole lot of points to give up. Ucf has clearly a better D and ezu has clearly even Moreso a better offense. Classic matchup.

That ezu schit is weak sauce.

I take being called End Zone University quite the compliment.

I think this game is a complete toss up. A very interesting contrast of styles. ECU's defense has it's issues, but the one big strength is run defense. I actually think the game could end up being pretty low scoring. I expect a close game in the low to mid 20's.

By last count, UCF has a top 5 national defense this year. And just looking at the update, UCF is 1 in total defense. UCF has given up 14 points since the UConn disaster. ECU is no slouch either coming in tied at 24.

ESPN Rankings

Should be a good one. I fully expect ECU to be favored once lines come out.

ECU is 4th against the run but a whopping 90th against the pass.

UCF's defense is 1 Overall, 2 against the pass, 6 against the run.

So it'll be ECU's 11th ranked offense vs UCF's 1st ranked defense.

@UCF_Football: UCF has a .913 winning percentage (21-2) in regular-season conference games since 2012, the fourth highest in the FBS #ChargeOn

Should be a good one. Can't wait.

ECU opens as a 6 1/2 point favorite, which I think is pretty crazy.

No way it will stay that high

Lol at the thread title, considering Vegas favors ECU in this game.

I respect ECU and think it will be a good game.

I think stat quotes from either team is ridiculous. Our league has a lot of bad teams and we both can pad stats pretty easily in this league.

I have little smack, I think it's two good teams and the game could go either way. Will probably come down to turnovers.

At least the conference finally has a marquee conference matchup to put on TV, and it'll be the final Thursday ESPN primetime broadcast of the year.

+1 too bad ECU let that Cincy game slip away bc there would be even more on the line.
