RE: Netflix Suggestions
Well, glad you guys set me straight on Fargo season 2, watched a couple of episodes already tonight.

Forgot, to mention Man In the High Castle on Amazon Prime, it was pretty good.

That reminds me, anyone thinking of cutting the cord, do waste money on Amazon Firestick, slow as hll and not nearly the options that Apple TV offers. Just spend the little extra and get Apple TV.

Did you load Kodi on it? I just have it on my computer with an HDMI cord and get everything without any real buffering issues.

Saw "Best of Enemies" and "Exit Through the Gift Shop" and liked them both. Buckley and Banksy are brilliant.

As far as recent docs go, besides MaM, I really liked "The Jinx".

Yes I did, I've since removed it since I never really used it. I was hoping that was what was slowing it down. I just download what I want from Pirate Bay anyways.

Bloodline is very good also, it starts slow, but just make it to the end of the first episode and you'll be hooked.

I kinda remember seeing a preview for it and being on the fence but it looks like it has gotten great reviews so I plan on checking it out. I didn't recall that it had Ben Mendelsohn in it until browsing it on imdb. I guess he's a star in Australia, but more of a character guy here but he's great in everything I've seen him in. If you are looking for an under the radar flick to check out from last year, "Mississippi Grind" with him and Ryan Reynolds is surprisingly good.

Narcos is near the top of my list to check out too.

If you like Mendelsohn, absolutely watch Bloodline. He's terrific in it.

I only recognized him from his small part in Dark Knight, but yeah he is great in it. I always like Kyle Chandler as well.

Watched Fruitvale Station last night. Have always really liked Michael B Jordan since his days on The Wire. Since then he's done Friday Night Lights and most recently starred in Creed. Fruitvale Station was really good, but just brutal to watch the last 15-20 minutes or so. He gives a great performance though.

I think you'll love Bojack. It's excellent.

I think archer's the most consistently hilarious show on tv

Check out "Animal Kingdom" when you get a chance. It counts as a foreign film if you wanna impress somebody with your sophistication. 03-thumbsup

Ha oh yeah, films only for this guy, no movies. Maybe Doss will let me into his box.

I can honestly say I have no clue what really happened in the case covered in Making a Murderer, even after researching it afterward.

What I can say is that Brendan got absolutely railroaded by his own public defender and he's the most compelling figure in series.

Not on Netflix, but in my opinion, The Wire is the best show to have ever aired on TV. Followed closely by Game of Thrones. The amount of charachter depth, storytelling complexity, and action between those two shows is absolutely phenomenal.

You'll get no argument from me on The Wire. There's a ton of great TV out there, but to me nothing else is in the same stratosphere as the wire. It's intense, it's impeccably well written, the characters and world building are remarkable, there's a ton of humor despite it being often one of the most heartbreaking brutal TV shows you could watch. I think the first 4 seasons are better than any season of any other show and season 4 in particularly is absolutely perfect television.

BTW I think it's on Amazon Prime (at least it was) if anyone is really late to the party and wants to watch it.

RE: Netflix Suggestions
Sidenote: There's a ton of pushback on the lack of minority actors being nominated for Oscars with the #oscarsowhite movement. To me the big issue and the reason you don't see that many minority actors begins with casting... not enough big roles are given to the many amazing minority actors out there. You can make a good case for every actor nominated this year...it's no shot at them, but you end up with few minority nominees because there aren't that many key roles cast to minority actors. The Wire was absolutely loaded with spectacular performances...hell two of those guys really could have been nominated this year (Jordan for Creed and Elba for Beasts of No Nation) and gave a great showcase for a ton of minority actors (and nonminority actors who also did some great work on the show).
