RE: C-USA needs a ESPN TV deal
How would ESPN raise our profile? Most people couldn't even name all the members of the MAC or SBC. They would just treat us the same way they treat the MAC & SunBelt.

The SBC only has two conf. basketball games televised. And in the conf. tourney the final is the only game on TV. And the MAC only gets 5 TV home games. The finals is the only MAC tourney game televised as well.

No, no, no...

Hey UTSA vs. Rice is on, but all we'll talk about during the game is just how damn good Ohio State is?

CUSA needs to enjoy the TV deal they worked out while Memphis basketball...UCF and ECU football were still in CUSA.

you guys may be in for a rude awakening when you renegotiate very soon.

And you should probably go take that low ball deal up yours for the team.

UTEP can play all the Tue, Wed and Thurs games they want, for Marshall, no thanks. We done that from 97-04, don't care to do it again.

ESPN could care less about the MWC, MAC, AAC or SB. They aren't even fillers for what ESPN does. My guess is if ESPN could they would rather replay the SEC game of the week on Tue rather than show a live MAC game. That's just the truth.

I think ASN has been great, particularly for football. Just need to push for more BB coverage.

RE: C-USA needs a ESPN TV deal
This may have been asked and answered before, but is there any way to determine how many households nationwide watch C-USA games telecast by ASN? Just how low or high is the viewership?

Just need Fox College Sports to be on Fox Sports Go app, I sure do miss ESPN3 for basketball though, was able to watch every single WKU game.

RE: C-USA needs a ESPN TV deal
We could really use additional Fox Sports coverage, and yes the app would be very nice too. I hate the internet blackouts of some games due to being televised in local markets. I've enjoyed ASN. Not sure if many people watch it, but its been great for me personally.

No they don't give a crap about anyone not making them HUGE dollars.

Increased ratings. Data doesn't lie, ratings would be higher. The American public doesn't default to FS1 CBSSN and the other Fox channels.

Exposure? Depends on how you define it. Max people seeing it? ESPN wins. Ease of fans finding their team, current deal wins.

ESPN3? Yep there would be a lot of ESPN3, the World Wide Leader is pushing more and more content there because they think it is the next place to make a lot of money.

RE: C-USA needs a ESPN TV deal
I don't care who the network(s) is/are as long as there's no Tuesday/Wednesday/Sunday football b.s.

I'll say this as many times as I have to: you guys who have not experienced it cannot accurately imagine just how awful it is. The "exposure" doesn't make up for it, either, when the recruit you're trying to sign is watching his little brother play JV the night your game is on. As a fan, Friday games can be tolerable if you're given enough notice, but high school football players and their parents tend to be otherwise occupied. In general, people are more impressed by a full stadium than seeing your school while flipping channels when Modern Family is in commercials.

ESPN3 is going to die on the vine now that Net Neutrality has passed. The upgrade infrastructure to support full HD video will not be invested now.

RE: C-USA needs a ESPN TV deal
Only thing that sucks right now is CBSSN now showing OVC games over CUSA games? How the hell did OVC get a better deal in hoops than CUSA? They must have a hell of a commissioner....Who cares about the freaking OVC nationally? Yet they have 9pm Thursday night games on CBSSN and ESPNU/CBSSN Sat night games...This is what CUSA powers to be should be concerned about as far as TV coverage for CUSA hoops....

I am not able to watch ASN in Columbus, GA. Not carried there so I missed more football games this year than last. At least when they were not televised before I could watch them on the CUSA site and hook up to the TV.

I thought ASN streamed the games for free?
