No it doesn't matter 05-nono. Some people get offended very easily by certain opinions. Sounds like you played ball Walt and enjoy reading your posts. They are usually spot on.

Agree it doesn't matter, though I have suggested to them that they can use the message board to their advantage given many of Rice's most avid sports fans and supporters are active readers/posters.

Greenspan had a couple spies who regularly scanned the message board. Believe it or not, I received a couple follow-up calls from Rick Mello (who clearly felt bad and awkward being the one tasked with making the calls) regarding some of my posts.

Very true. Some are very aware of what is posted here in general terms.

Guess so.....my opinion is that catchers should call the game not get signs from the bench. Boy that was met with scrutiny. I am a traditionalist and believe the battery should call the game based upon scouting reports.

And that's the OG's philosophy, too. Provided he has a catcher who can do it well. I remember years ago, Graham said Rice catchers must do two things well ... keep a ball in the dirt in front of them and call a good game.

Yes, but I'm sure you realize that The OG has been one of a very, very, very select group of college coaches who has, in the past, given his catchers responsibility for calling pitches. Catchers calling pitches in college is the very rare exception; not the norm. It's one of the reason games take so long.
