CSNBBS Biggest Loser - Official Thread!
Alright I'm starting a new thread for the Biggest Loser. The first post will contain the participant list, the rules, and a spot for the current standings. Please feel free to discuss the competition below and provide support for one another, discuss diet/exercise regime, etc.

Participants:

Rules:

Initial Weigh-in: Tuesday March 31
Final Weigh-in: Tuesday June 23
Competition Length: 12 weeks

Competition Basis: % of Weight Lost

Competition Number 1: Worst week-to-week loss is eliminated each week (along with people who miss their weigh-in). If everyone submits their weight loss each week, we will still have a few people left going into the last week. The highest weight-loss for that week would then win.

Comp. #1 Example: Someone who weighs 200 loses 2 pounds in week 1: -2/200 = -1%
Same person loses 2 pounds in week 2: -2/198 = -1.01%

Competition Number 2: Highest % of Weight Lost over the entire 12 weeks

Weekly Weigh-in Deadlines: 11:59 PM Tuesdays (Central Time)

Even if you are eliminated from competition number 1, please submit your weekly weigh-in to be eligible for competition number 2, so we can keep the standings up to date.

Weigh-in Process: Send me a private message with your weight. I will not publish weight, just percentage lost each week.

Missing a weigh-in: Each person will have 1 "I forgot" 24-hour extension. Failure to submit a weight after the extra 24 hours will result in disqualification.

Standings: Will be posted after all weights have been received, likely Wednesday evenings.

So how's everybody's weeks looking? Not gonna lie, this is going to be a tough week for me. Work is providing breakfast and lunch tomorrow (Italian buffet), and I have a birthday lunch with my team out tomorrow (Olive Garden...ugh, will do soup/salad). Friday I'm hanging with a friend, and there will be 04-cheers.

Going to have to be really good outside of all of that! Playing pickleball tonight for a couple hours, which will help.

This week looks good. Have tasty healthy dinner recipes planned. Once we get to mid April, then begins the celebration of my birthday month, where there will be many occasions for 04-cheers and 04-wine. Gonna have to be careful then and up the exercise time.

Are we going to rule on what time of day we should be weighing ourselves? I've found that my weight can vary by as much as a pound between evening and the following morning. Are we going to require that people weigh themselves at approximately the same time each weigh in day, or can we be flexible as long as it's done on the appropriate day?

I think most people will weigh around the same time as they will make it part of their routine, but I'm not specifying a specific weigh-in time. Just as long as it's done on Tuesday.

Still allowing entrants? Been mulling it over and I could use the kick-start. Not like anything else has helped in the last 18 months or so. Ha.

Stay strong! It's really tough when you're out with friends. I just always try to find the healthiest option on the menu and then stick to vodka tonics because they have so few calories.

I'm crosstraining today so 30 minutes on the elliptical and 20 minutes of yoga. Tomorrow is my rest day but I have a 5.5 mile run on Thursday and a 4 mile run on Friday.

Starting: Collegiate offensive tackle
Three month realistic goal: Collegiate fullback

Maybe I'll make it all the way down to collegiate tailback. I have a very VERY broad frame (2" wider than Delta coach from INNER armpit to inner armpit), so I suspect my floor is quite a lot higher than most.

Looks like we've had 12 people weigh in so far. I'll shoot out a reminder email when I get home tonight to people I haven't heard from. Don't be a slacker!!!
