RE: CSNBBS Biggest Loser - Official Thread!
Week 2 weigh-in complete. I think the simple work out routine I have started has improved my weight loss for this week. I had a much better week, especially for me, 4 pounds in one week and that is almost unheard of with my weight loss history.

I have set several short term and long term goals. Forgive the figurative antidote but....The best way to "EAT" an elephant is one bite at a time, and that is how I am approaching my weight loss. I have four goal stages that I have set to achieve my future goal weight.

Good Luck Everybody.

Congrats Oldtimer! Small goals are the best. I really strayed from my diet last week but I'm still down a pound so I'm pleased about that. Shouldn't be any temptations put in my way this week.

Good luck, all!

Way to go Oldtimer! I too am approaching weight loss as an incremental process & have found that breaking up my goals makes them much more attainable & keeps me motivated.

Too many nights working late this week kept me from working out like I had planned, but I'm not letting that keep me from eating healthy. My mantra is: Keep on keepin' on!!

Just got confirmation from my boss, I will one of the folks representing my company in a 5k this weekend. It will be the first one I've run in a long, long time. Luckily, thanks to this challenge I am much more prepared than I would be normally.

Thanks BucFyre, appreciate the support. I believe that each and every one of us will succeed especially if we can surround ourselves with a support network. It is great to have those that are cheering for us to succeed. Regardless if it is family friends or members of this weight loss challenge I know we all appreciate the love and support from those that understand what an undertaking this is for each and every one of us. So anytime I can share a word of encouragement to anyone I try and let them know I am empathic and rooting for them to be a winner in their weight loss journey.

"My mantra is: Keep on keepin' on!!" Same here Lucy, this may be dumb but I find myself anxious for time to move faster so I can see and feel the results NOW! I have to learn not to stress over the time element and that is why I have broken down the overall goals into segments.

I am also looking to find a reward that I can give to "ME" when I achieve my first short term goal (anything other than a food reward.....LOL). If anyone has a suggestion I am all ears.

Good luck! Losing weight certainly makes the running much easier.

Didn't feel like a great week. I took my kid on some college tours so there was some eating out and lack of gym time, but scale seemed okay.

Bad week scale wise.. And I can predict that from Thursday until Sunday it won't be good.. Going out of town for a company golf outing.. There'll be nothing but bad choices starting at the food and ending at the amount of alcohol that will be flowing.

Sorry bud, we're 2 weeks into the competition. Keep an eye out though, there may be another contest at some point.

Which reminds me, for those that are participating, make sure to get your weights in tomorrow!

Thanks anyway, pally.

Alright here are the week 2 Standings. As a group we are down nearly 90 lbs! We did have one resignation, and one person who did not report this week, so those 2 are now eliminated from the competitions. (Though they can still report if they want!). That said, since my goal is to keep as many people in as possible for the first competition, we won't be eliminating anyone who submitted a weight this week! Congratulations to everyone so far!

Also, a note, I missed I45Owl earlier in the competition, but he has been on time and reporting. Sorry I45Owl!

T4C8 resigned, and seniorowl didn't report.

Congratulations and WTG to all the big losers! Collectively we have lost a small child. It was nice to see the overall leader board participant’s shuffle around this week. I hope I can sustain last week’s success, especially heading into this 3rd week. I decided to chart out my weekly exercise routine so I can physically check it off as I complete different segments of my daily activities. My routine is very simplistic; you might say I am taking baby steps, (probably the best analogy I can relate it to for my daily accomplishments). I have also decided to add an additional activity to my routine every so often (example adding 3-5 extra leg lifts to my current routine). I feel this has been a motivator for me and has forced me, and yes I mean forced me out of my sedentary ways that were the worst habit I settled into over the last few years. Again I hope the activity will translate into losing inches as well as pounds going forward.

Example of Chart (modified)

I hope we all see BIG results heading into week 3….Good Luck everybody!

278 today. I am going back to crossfit (Power 90). I can burn more calories and watch what I eat more.

RE: CSNBBS Biggest Loser - Official Thread!
Just got weighed and sent my NEW weight in for week 3. I am not sure if my exercise routine is the difference in my weight loss but I definitely feel my awareness of my activity has motivated my desire to eat better each week. My NEW eating habits have been reinforced because of my overall weight loss results. I hope everyone has had a GOOD week as well.

Our family has started an "Inspire Me Dinner” that we plan every Friday. We decided that each person would proclaim or declare a "Habit" or a "Goal" they wished to change or achieve. Could be as simple as to be a better friend, worker, husband, father, brother or to stop smoking, loose weight, give more time to our friends, family, church or plan to do a good deed for those around us we love. We write a hand written note to everyone for that week to encourage them or congratulate them for the hard work and dedication that has "Inspired" all of us for that past week.

We are very blessed because we are able to get together to not only eat dinner and play cards we also enjoy being in the moment and surrounded by family.

Good Luck to everyone heading into week 4.
