Light mist in general campus area thus far. Hope the rain holds off.

Any word on JC Reeves availability? If he's held out, against the tough southpaw tonight, I would expect Kirby in LF, Lewis at 3B and Myers at DH.

Unfortunately for us, JC is, indeed, out...

Rice starting lineup tonight: Chandler-cf; Stainback-2b; Byrd-ss; Taylor-lf; Lewis-3b; Warren-rf; C. Teykl-1b; Myers-dh; Kopycinski-c.

I'm a little surprised Hunter is batting #9 in the order since he usually hits lefties reasonably well.

There we go, Kevin! Leadoff double. Way to get that out of your system. It's smooth sailing from here on out.

The ball is flying off MTSU's DeMarini bats.

And Grayson gets that error bugaboo out in the opening right away. Excellent! RBI on the error. 1-0 MTSU. 1 down. Man on first.

Already an error (allowing run to score) and wild pitch (which should have been blocked by Hunter). Same old, same old. Just shaking head.

Wow-- Chandler guns down the speedy Jebavy at the plate on a hard single. 4 well hit balls against McCanna in the first 4 batters. Not a good sign.

Don't lose faith, Walt. It's Good Friday. There's still hope for new life.

BOOM! BIG K-K-K-KEVIN!! Strikeout strands two Blue Raiders and limits the Keystone Cop routine to 1 run. Let's get it back, bats!! 1-0 MTSU going B1.
