Looks like that FAU series could be huge.

RE: Rice vs MTSU - Sunday Game
Very satisfying win and end of the weekend. Sure, a sweep would have been nice, but a 3-1 week is good enough. We really need to replicate this coming week, which will be a much tougher task given all four games are on the road...and the Aggies are 30-2 on the year, 22-1 at home, and 9-0 in midweek games. Time for payback.

I think it's fair to say that Jordan is back to his old self and his old form-- not only with regards to his stuff, but his command is there as well. I would think The OG has to consider moving him up to Saturday starter next week and, perhaps, Friday ace the following week (or once he's able to go 7 innings and 100 pitches). Blake just isn't getting it done, and hasn't all season. I'd leave him as Sunday starter for now, but the clock is ticking.

I very much doubt he'll do it, but I also think The OG should consider altering the lineup a bit at this point. Specifically, against right-handed pitching, I would switch Warren and Byrd in the batting order. Over the past several weeks, Leon has been striking out at Michael Aquino frequency...and Charlie Warren has been en fuego the past 3 weeks. Warren has a team-leading .452 OBP to Byrd's .335 OBP. Leon and Ryan Chandler should be walking much more than they have been, and they're striking out way too frequently.

Finally a pitching performance that was elite. Stephens was outstanding. Hitting as usual all year keeps putting up runs in CUSA.

No, game was not close enough for the "save" when he came in.

8-2 was the final score.

Not true. Any closer who finishes the game with 3 innings pitched gets credit for the save regardless to how lopsided the score.

That's what I thought. Thanks for the confirmation.
