Ruston is more Trailer Trash than Lafayette ever thought of being. I should know I lived right outside of Lafayette for 11 years and have been to Ruston more than once. Lafayette makes Ruston look like a two bit one horse town.

LOL...Ruston makes Monroe look great.

And Northeast Arkansas is really pretty 03-puke

Having to make the trip to Jonesboro Ark is enough for me not to want Ark St in CUSA. But to be honest Ruston is a not a place I look forward to traveling to and it has nothing to with the butt kicking we got ..twice this year. Nothing against the town but just not a lot to in the surrounding area either. In most home towns in the SBC and CUSA there's more larger cities to stay at then drive over on game day....same with BG

Now if someone can point me in the direction of a great fishing hole in Ruston I can change my mind :)

These guys always have a slot open for an experienced fisherman.

It's actually a great area for hunting, fishing, and golf. Then in shreveport David Toms has a great golf training facility. Johnny Manziel and his dad were there last weekend.

You don't plan to spend $115M in athletic facility improvements to stay in the Sun Belt.

Their AD certainly sounds like he wants an invite. I posted the article from January in another thread so I won't post it again unless someone insists, but he indicated he wanted ULL to be ready and was concerned that last time C-USA expanded, ULL did not get the chance to give their pitch in person but they did send in a lot of data. So yes, they want in.

IMO ULL is the obvious #1 choice followed by South Alabama. Just looking at what the Cajuns have accomplished over the past 5 years performance and facility wise is remarkable. I understand that historically they've been less than average but they have finally got their $hit together and their commitment towards athletics is second to none among the G5. Adding them would be good for CUSA.

If UAB leaves CUSA should add South Alabama.
1. They have a ton of former UAB players.
2. Mobile is a decent size TV market.
3. Has a beach and not far from New Orleans.
4. Very good upside in both football and basketball.

I hope you're right. ULL fits perfectly with the current CUSA lineup. It's sad however to witness what UAB is going through. You could only hope that they can bring football back so that they can stay in the conference.

13 is not ideal so it's either we drop a school which I don't see happening(I'm all in favor to drop FIU or Charlotte) or we pick up a 14th school IF UAB doesn't bring back football. The obvious choice is ULL and there isn't a choice more obvious then them

To drop FIU seems like the most logical approach. Hopefully the conference administrators and leaders make the right decision.
