That hurts. Syracuse wasn't going to be higher than 7th in the preseason polls anyway, but they'll likely be the cellar pick now. Carter was inconsistent last season and only had 2 games over 90 yards, but its slim pickings behind him. I assume Curtis Brinkley is now the lead back, with no one behind him holding any experience.

Wow...Syracuse trying to break in a new QB and the loss of Carter will make for a long season.

Orange fans...are the good people of upstate NY getting restless with Coach Robinson?

Some are--but most realize the program hit rock bottom between 2002- 2005. I was actually somewhat encouraged by 2006--even though we we're only 4-8 we only got blown out in one game (38-7 to Rutgers) all the rest had us within striking distance into the 4th quarter.

The 2008 season looks like our breakout season...if he is still delivering sub 500% seasons after 2008 the call for his head will be immense. Syracuse as most know plays a tough OOC schedule so it is difficult to 4-1 or 5-0 OOC.

The injury to Delone is a rare but horrific injury....as some know it ended Bo Jackson's career. Most fans expect he'll Red Shirt this year and come back in 2008 but we'll know more in 4-6 months.
