I also use it to describe anyone with their pants hanging below their ass, but in a mocking manner.

RE: Official Poll on defining "Thug"
Enough with the excuses for this type of trash. Thug is a Thug is a Thug.

A Thug is a Violent criminal element with the intent to take from a productive individual/enterprise without remorse. They use means of intimidation and posturing to influence law abiding people and take advantage of them.

Our prisons are full of these types! However, a large portion of them are "paper tigers" when confronted and stood up to.

In large, they are the product of single females raising the child without a strong male figure in the house. they have a strong sense of entitlement and are lazy by nature!

I don't think of it as racial.

I really don't care if some fool thinks it is racial or not.

According to the dictionary, a thug is a violent person, especially a criminal.

ITT a bunch of idiots who can't comprehend that a word can be used in multiple ways and may even (gasp) have different usage and/or meanings.

Kindly point to any example here of somebody using the word thug to describe someone other than a violent criminal.

Here's the point. When people act like animals, they get called a thug. That's the way it's always been, and since it's mostly blacks acting like animals in all of these protests and loots, lefties want to redefine thug to mean n*gg*r.

A thug is a thug, color isn't a necessity for them. Only a racist/race baiter would consider "thug" to be another word for a racial slur.

John, Did You notice how close that car that struck that deer first was almost a head on collision ! I remember seeing that footage when it came out about a year ago on the news but never noticed the silver car with smashed roof and windshield crossing the center line. Great driving under duress.04-rock

I did see someone refer to him as a thug I think. Pretty clear that that is the exception rather than the rule though.

He's actually the reason for all of this. It hurt his feelings that someone said he was acting like a thug by hooping and hollering (which was true) and since he didn't like it, he immediately turned to the race card and said it was only used to call him a racial slur.
