RE: Rakeem Cato to Cleveland
I love what Cato did at Marshall and his personal story is uplifting; but lest be honest, he is a very long shot to make an NFL squad in any capacity. His size and arm strength on the long ball will certainly come into question. I don't think the CFL is a bad option at all. He can make some nice coin playing in a league that suits his game very well. There is nothing wrong with making 100K playing in Toronto, Vancouver, Calgary, etc.

What other job is he gonna get straight out of college that pays 100K? Not many options - regardless of where he went to school or what his degree is in.

If it is the CFL, Cato is running out of time and choices. Training camps start on 5/31 and there are only three remaining tryout sessions:

Calgary Stampeders - 5/16 Atlanta
Edmonton Eskimos - 5/16 Atlanta
BC Lions - 5/17 Seattle

BC would be awesome. Vancouver is an awesome city and he can be up there with former Herd star Alex Bazzie.

Not sure what he's going to do, but I kind of think he doesn't want to play in the CFL. Maybe he'd prefer to make a little less money and play in the Arena League?
