good luck

They're gonna have a hell of a time having trees grow tall enough to cover up a mountain in Chattanooga. I thought you idiots said flying them on private property was fine???

who said it wasn't? the state has every right to plant tall, mature, trees on their property that runs next to public roads...if those trees just happen to block the view, tough titty.

How exactly do you plant "tall mature trees"?

Ask T-DOT...they don't need approval or a vote, they can simply say it's for aesthetic reasons...according to Sen Lee Harris (Memphian, Yale grad, and head on the Nashville democrats) this is the plan for private confederate monuments.

You can do what you like with your private property...and T-DOT can do what it likes with the state owned land next to roads.

your reading comprehension skills are terrible. The last part of the article says the state has to look into if they can even legally do that. So no one is planting anything yet.

Flag poles grow faster than trees anyway.

quote where I said it was already done...they're going to, though.

It's a piece of US history that should be in museums and books. We need to learn about it like everything else.

it's not about this:

it's about this:

a crane and a backhoe from what I've seen around here.

I've never seen someone dig up a fully grown 70 ft tall tree and relocate it. But if they do it, maybe someone can video that and put it on Youtube

biggest I've seen them do down here is about 40 or so. The tree services have farms down here and plant those suckers at new developments instead of young trees.
