We gotta lockdown the State of Cincinnati!

His family is very pro UC. As of right now as far as I know, there is only 1 other school he has interest in and it's not a local school. It would be great for his academic career but would be too far for his parents to attend every game.

Bearcats offer in-state Branham brothers (scout freebie)

Sounds like they are pretty interested. One of the brothers is class of 2020.

Smart move. Both are division I talents and seem to be favoring attending the same college. Being the first to offer both with the fact they have already been on campus gives us an early leg up. They also sound like great kids who take care of business in the classroom.

I really hope the time Fickell has spent with the kid goes a long way. I know his OSU visit was garbage.

It isn't, and it isn't a final three. Those are just the last three letters he got...he's a high 4*, would be shocked if we had a significant chance.

John Bivens, a RB from Alter High in Kettering was offered by UC. 6' 1" 205lbs but not much background on him - he has offers so far from Kentucky and Toledo.

Jalen Thornton, DE, Indian Hill (and John Thornton's son) update from Scout below. Nothing too exciting except we are in the mix and that Scout has called his school Indians Hills and Indian Hills in the same article, while his profile correctly lists his school as Indian Hill:

Quick 247 story on Dontay Hunter
https://247sports.com/Player/Dontay-Hunter-II-46041915

Quote:One of the more impressive 2019 defensive lineman in the state of Ohio is three-star Dontay Hunter, from Westerville Central, and he has the size and athletic ability college coaches love.

Hunter II already holds an impressive offer list and more could be coming his way as coaches head out on the road to see top prospects in person. Hunter recently landed an offer from Cincinnati.

"The offer came from (assistant coach) Al Washington, and he told me they watched my film and absolutely loved it," Hunter II stated. "I've been waiting on an offer from Cincinnati since the summer after my sophomore season. I did well at camp and Coach Washington wanted to offer me, but my camp performance just wasn't enough."

"That motivated me to get bigger, faster and stronger, and this offer is big and means more to me than people might understand," he added. "I truly love the facility and the campus. Coach (Luke) Fickell is about to change things for the Cincinnati program, and I think they struggled last year because those weren't his players."

"Now that he is bringing in his own players they are about to start winning lots of games," he continued. "Coach Fickell knows how recruiting went at Ohio State, and he's not going to want to miss out on the good Ohio players that Ohio State overlooked. He will make history at Cincinnati."

In addition to Cincinnati, Hunter II also holds offers from Kentucky and Minnesota, as well as two MAC programs.
