Quote:One of the more impressive 2019 defensive lineman in the state of Ohio is three-star Dontay Hunter, from Westerville Central, and he has the size and athletic ability college coaches love.

Hunter II already holds an impressive offer list and more could be coming his way as coaches head out on the road to see top prospects in person. Hunter recently landed an offer from Cincinnati.

"The offer came from (assistant coach) Al Washington, and he told me they watched my film and absolutely loved it," Hunter II stated. "I've been waiting on an offer from Cincinnati since the summer after my sophomore season. I did well at camp and Coach Washington wanted to offer me, but my camp performance just wasn't enough."

"That motivated me to get bigger, faster and stronger, and this offer is big and means more to me than people might understand," he added. "I truly love the facility and the campus. Coach (Luke) Fickell is about to change things for the Cincinnati program, and I think they struggled last year because those weren't his players."

"Now that he is bringing in his own players they are about to start winning lots of games," he continued. "Coach Fickell knows how recruiting went at Ohio State, and he's not going to want to miss out on the good Ohio players that Ohio State overlooked. He will make history at Cincinnati."

In addition to Cincinnati, Hunter II also holds offers from Kentucky and Minnesota, as well as two MAC programs.

Those are some unbelievable quotes.

Anybody know much about 2019 LB recruit Brody Ingle from LaSalle? He likes UC (per this 247 article) but we haven't offered. https://247sports.com/college/cincinnati...-113389151

A very good linebacker from another great program. Like what I'm seeing already from the '19 offers/visits.

The football staff held a junior day for the basketball game Sunday. Despite a big Under Armor event in Cleveland that a lot of Ohio kids attended, there were still some nice recruits in attendance. I'm sure there are more, but from perusing twitter I've seen:

MI WR Tre Mosley
KY ATH Aidan Robbins
KY DE JJ Weaver
Alter RB John Bivens
Centerville LB Max Wynn
Milford TE Connor Foster
Springfield LB Ra'heim Moss

Currently committed to ND for baseball. I'd bring in both coaching staffs to try and reel this kid in.

He is an absolutely stellar playmaker on the football field. I've had to specifically scheme against him for 2 years now, and I'm 100% behind his ability with the ball in his hand being as elite as possible against top-line competition. Kid has had five 200 yard rushing games and TWELVE 100 yard receiving games in two seasons as a varsity player.

I doubt we've got a shot, because he's been set at ND for a long time and the rumor has been that Kelly and their baseball coach are both good with him playing both baseball on scholly and football as a preferred walk-on. The kid's a gem.

Reportedly had a stellar performance at the Under Armour All American camp which landed him offers from UC and Iowa St. to his previous one from Minnesota. Here's a paragraph on him for the 247 Iowa St. site including an impressive highlight reel from the UA event. I'd love to get him.

RE: Football Class of 2019
Recently offered Cannon Blauser article.

Quote:One of the top linebacker prospects in Ohio for 2019 is Hilliard Bradley's Cannon Blauser, and he was quite impressive recently at the Cleveland Under Armour Camp.

Blauser is a three-star recruit that has already put together an impressive offer list. He has the ability to play either inside or outside linebacker, depending upon the defensive scheme employed.

"I have eight offers right now, and I would say that I want to visit all the schools before I could name a favorite," Blauser stated. "I have visited Cincinnati and Louisville, and both of them have offered."

"Cincinnati said they were going to offer five linebackers, and I'm one of them," he added. "They want to take the first two to commit, and we talked about how Coach (Luke) Fickell and Coach (Marcus) Freeman are both linebacker guys. They say I fit in well, and I'm highly interested."

"I visited Louisville recently and met with their new defensive coordinator (Brian VanGorder)," he continued. "They told me how I would fit in with their defense, and that they are very interested in me. Louisville is a school I will consider very highly going forward."

There are other teams showing interest in Blauser that have not offered to this point, but that could happen down the road.

"I would say Purdue is one I'm very interested in, and I'm going to visit there in a few weeks for spring practice," Blauser explained. "I'm excited to visit Purdue, and would love to have that offer."

Blauser is currently ranked as the No. 50 prospect in the state of Ohio for the class of 2019.
