Changing technology
Have you seen the new Tulsa Hurricane site......what a mess.....it's never ending and I don't know how you find what you are looking for......just when you think you can't scroll any farther down.....it keeps going.....it just goes all over the place......as I said, what a mess!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I know the tech people want to prove they deserve a job and think they have to come up with something new and wonderful.......but they should ask the people using the site not other tech people. That is now the worst site I have ever seen!!!

RE: Changing technology
With the rivals site becoming very difficult to navigate and the official TU site inexplicably being changed as you say its a mess imo. Why these things would occur is a mystery to me. I look at posting on these sites as a hobby I finally have time for and enjoy it for the most part, but to make the sites MORE difficult to post on, navigate through and access, is beyond me.

I'm sure the good folks at our very good rivals site aren't responsible for the problems there - its got to be rivals nationally. But TU should know better. I just get the idea that either Dr Gragg doesn't understand whats happening, doesn't care about it, or thinks its just fine and dandy. I hope he's not out of touch with the fanbase.

RE: Changing technology
Personally, I like the new TulsaHurricane site quite a bit. The old site was a design from the mid 2000's and needed to be changed. The new site is more inline with what you might find on ESPN / Grantland. It will take some time to get used to, but the aesthetic is much, much, much better than the previous design.

The main function of any site should be......if you want to find something.....the easier the better. Now, I'm not denying the new Tulsa Hurricane site doesn't have a certain WOW factor.....unfortunately, it's WOW, where the hell is the football schedule......it is endless.....it goes on and on in no particular order.......maybe for someone in the high tech business it's cool, but not when you just want some information.

No it is bad internet site design. Its one of the worst designs for a site I have ever seen. A good internet site is designed to be easy to navigate and find what you are looking for, must be intuitive. Tulsa sports home site is almost impossible to navigate effectively, its laggy and hard to find what you are looking for. Its not intuitive. Even though the last design was very old, at least you could find what you were looking for. The new design just no!

RE: Changing technology
I seriously can't comprehend how you would have trouble with that site. The first page is just a drop down menu to get you to the sport you're looking for. All the subsequent ones are on a header near the top of the page. Roster, schedule, news, extra links. That's all that you really need

RE: Changing technology
They have shortened it considerably and added headers from the way it started, so it is better.......but it's still a mess!!!!!
