I don't really follow Premier League, but I'm hoping that Newcastle has a respectable year.

I don't trust the Liverpool striker unit currently to score more than one goal.

Also a reminder about EPL and overall standings - the bottom 4 weeks will be removed from the standings in the end (I'll try to give a progress report on how those look closer to Decemberish) so there is still a lot of factors

Is it bad that I'm starting to lean a bit Towards Bayer just from the sheer fact that there won't be as many blowouts from them? 03-lmfao

So yeah after some more research (and watching two games) I think I may go Bayer. Attractive play style, kind of an Everton type (competitive but not a top top team), and focusing on younger talent (only 4 over 30 and 2 of those are GKs).

Can we do split standings instead of an overall? I, along with probably more than a few others, are at a complete disadvantage with the Bundesliga selections.

I can't believe I'm asking this considering I know more about the Bundesliga than the EPL, but.......when you say Bayer, you're talking about Leverkusen, correct?

RE: OT: The NEWER Official Soccer Thread
Highly upset by the Lazio/Leverkusen result today. Leverkusen's disallowed goal was a joke; clearly no offsides on the play. Should've been 1-1. Now, without the away goal, Lazio's in the driver's seat. If they score just one at Leverkusen in the return match, Leverkusen needs 3 in the net. I don't mind when German teams lose as long as it's a fair result. That was just wrong.

That was the worst call I've seen since Martinez decided to sign Eto'o

However, Bayer is effectively a playground for executives in the pharma industry. BayArena isn't known as a particularly intimidating venue, as most of the seats are taken by corporate workers. Also, I've been to Leverkusen (and most of Germany) - it's one of the dreariest cities in Germany and likely in all of Europe.

I'm not saying not to choose Bayer - just giving a fuller picture.

Maybe one day Advil Dusseldorf will make it to Bundesliga..."snicker"
