I actually have no problem with discussing attendance, but really, we all need solutions. You're not making a huge discovery by saying we have bad attendance and indirectly hinting that we wont be bringing people to ucf. We know and we know. But if you were really interested in "helping", then tell us what you think should be done. I really don't know the answer and I doubt any of us do on here (otherwise that person would have PG's job and be rich). Obviously winning would be the quickest way, but it's not sustainable, how do we get to the point where we have good attendance even when we lose (i.e. look at USM their attendance isn't as good as before, but it's still more than 50% better than ours). Someone who wants to broach the topic like that, is trying to be constructive and leading to a good conversation about that topic.

I am not hinting at anything. I genuinely do not know how well FIU travels now a days. When I lived in TN I remember FIU always had a good core group of fans that would show up (and let's be honest, back in those days -- early 2000s -- FIU wasn't very good). I just thought hey, you guys are close, maybe there is something organized going on. If not, okay that's life. These are the same struggles that MT faces, so I completely understand. With that said, it definitely takes time. Marketing is huge (this is what always gets me frustrated about MT -- not enough of this is done and when it is, it always stinks; they never put in good effort IMO) but I do know -- as a resident of Miami -- that it is exponentially more difficult to get people out to the games when most of the area is completely apathetic to anything sports-related. I think we all tend to have genuinely positive interests at heart, right? Even as a UM fan in addition to MT fan I would like to see FIU have success. I see NMSU doing some grassroots kind of thing for their season opener, and think why can't MT (or FIU, tho I am obviously not sure of your situation as well as MT's) do something like that to draw a big crowd. Answers are hard to come by especially when the deck is stacked against you.
