Because having a significantly one sided winning record against another school breeds an inferiority complex (sarcasm). What Tech fans do have is a drive to see it's programs get better and a pissed off attitude with the injustice of P5 schools trying to uneven the playing field, much like every other school on this board.

That's not even close to being true but I do agree that more talk about the game instead school names would be more interesting.

UL strives to excel and has taken the necessary steps to strive and become the best program it can be. We wouldn't of built a 100,000 square foot APC, we wouldn't of built the IPF, we wouldn't be paying our coach a million dollars a year if we weren't trying to succeed. Yall want to be the only school in the state. Hate to break to yall yall have competition, and UL has accomplished more on building up our facilities, paying coaches, and succeeding in Basketball and Baseball in the past 5 years then Tech has in its previous 20.

We can't change the past hiring of Jerry Baldwin was the worst decision UL has ever made specially when it comes to football, a lot of those wins came during that era, what then not playing after 10 years, and then here is Tech fans harping on wins that were over a decade ago. It has taken us 10 years to right the ship in football, and we are taking the necessary steps to be successful.

Whether UL wins or loses, we will continue to be successful, and leading the charge to become 2nd best program in the state. We already there in Basketball, Baseball, and Softball, we will be there when it comes to football.

4 bowl wins in 4 years, that is more than Tech has accomplished in the past 4 years.

This is a good post, but there are some problems with it. While ULL has beat Tech in basketball the past 2 years, Tech has been more successful with the basketball program than ULL over the past 4 years (and historically). When you are really successful, schools like Tennessee and Florida will come after your coach. The 4 bowl wins are also nice, but Tech was ranked higher than ULL in 3 of those 4 years (and we beat one of them by 4 TDs). We only played Baldwin twice in his 3 years at ULL. Your baseball and softball program are awesome though, and you should be very proud of them.

I do agree that ULaLa has been doing some good things but until they get out of the sunbelt and or start beating named P5 and G5 teams you will be far below Tech in football. Winning in the belt is not as hard as recruiting players to play in the belt. Playing in the belt is a major reason for what ULaLa fans consider success in football. There is a reason Tech has more all Americans, NFL players and college and NFL hall of fame players. Does ULL have any of these? Has ULL ever been ranked in football? Has ULL ever won a SBC championship? I would argue that ULM has been more successful in Football than ULL. They have multiple named wins and have the exact same SBC championships as ULL, zero in the past 4 years. I guess lower standards of excellence meet the ULL standard.

The smartest thing Tech ever did was to separate from the hyphenated schools. Not accepting the name change that SWL and NLU chose to do as universities. Not accepting the invite to the SBC and going to the WAC.

It also helps that Tech is a tier 1 university that is highly ranked nationally and is the best value in the country to get an education.

I still would love to continue to play this series every year as I believe it would be a great rivalry for Tech. Having USM and ULL on the schedule every year would good for Tech. Yes, ULL may actually win one someday but not this weekend.

Tell me, how many Tech fans go over to the Sunbelt board and start stuff with cajun fans? If any, then shame on them, but not this guy. You guys will forever hate us because we are the exact opposite of you. You keep spouting of the same old crap like anybody cares, but they don't. The funny thing is if we beat you guys, you will just come up with more excuses like you did last year. It gets old.

The real question that you should be asking is how many ltur folks go on the UL site, Ragin Pagin because not many Cajuns go to the SBC site. However, here are just a few of the trolls we get on RP on a regular basis: dawg1984, BlueDawg, BLU, techdawg88,*** grano salis, boxerdog, Germdawg and of course my two favorites: 'Saint' Greg & stodgdgy.

Compare that with the 2, maybe 3 UL posters on the ltur board, and factor in that UL has a much larger school, alumni base and larger overall fan base, and that will give you the true answer.

You don't see Cajun fans putting stuff on Sunbeltbbs. This thread was started by a Tech fan. So yall start a thread to talk smack about UL. For the pure amusement of putting UL down on a conference message board. Then you wondering why fans come here after yall talk smack.

I already gave my opinion on this matter. I don't think our fans would put this thread on a conference message board. If they did sure wouldn't mind fans coming over and giving there opinion on the matter.

Your obsession with Richard Simmons is a little strange. You and your ilk act like we should be embarrassed or upset about someone attending our university. Maybe you could explain your infatuation with the guy.

In other words, rather than focus on, IDK, Ali Landry, they have this huge crush on RS. Kinda funny, really. And I bet they all drive REALLY big trucks.

are you kidding me. Last year Tech fans went into this game very humbled and assumed we would get beaten while ULL gloated at how much you had surpassed us. I mean your coach actually invited our recruits. NOW we mouthed off after the victory but ULL deserved it.

I agree, UL, both the fans and coaches/team, got waaaay ahead of themselves last year, and we paid the prce for it. No question we were also doing way more of the chit talk too.

This year is exactly opposite that.

I have no problems at all with the smack talk. I think it is part of the fun of sports. And tech fans were not humble last year, they were scared. The excuses started well in advance and then yall were pleasantly surprised when it turned out that tech was much better than expected.

See you Saturday. I can almost smell the fishsticks and creosote now!

1. Good Lord, USL, ULL or my fav OLALA hasn't won a outright conference championship since 1970. 45 years of suckage! Gulf States Champ 1970!
2. A tractor shed and double wide is a major upgrade. Also your IPF looks like a prison. Why did you build sheds in the end zones?
3. Academics at ULALA, HA. All I got to say is Richard Simmons is your most accomplished graduate.
4. Yea, its been 19 years since ULL has beaten Tech in Football. Did you invite our recruits this weekend?
5. My favorite on your list, even ULALA and ULM grads agree that Tech is looked at in a more favorable light because we earned our way into a better conference than the SBC. As for ducking ULM, maybe we did or didn't. It doesn't matter because we are playing you losers this weekend and are going to beat that ass.
6 and 7 are a joke. You really think being good in basket weaving (baseball) and other sports that no really cares about is a reflection of your programs strength when its actually a weakness. Tech has concentrated on Football and Men's and Women's basketball which all are better than ULL. These are the sports that matter so that's what we focus on.

Current NFL players on active rosters:
LaTech 11
ULALA 0

When is the Big 12 invite coming? With ULL excelling in all sports, I think it should be next year. HAHAHA

You really do just make stuff up, dont you?
Melvin White, Tillman, Christian Ringo, Zo Harris, maybe more. But you get the point
@ Sunbelt titles in football.
100k sq ft Athletic performance center AND an IPF. What you got? https://www.youtube.com/watch?t=1&v=Fq8Li-M3g_s not bad for a tractor shed.
So the only sport that is important to an athletic program is football huh? Bet if we hadnt beaten laturd in basketball the past two seasons, you would have a different take on that.
Crawl back under your trailer and come out when you can do something other than spout crap.

And can you or any of your mouth breathing sisters explain your infatuation with Richard Simmons?
