RE: Uh-Oh
A couple of reporters were given access to the KP journals.
They describe them and give their impressions.

http://www.wdrb.com/story/31174813/crawf...s-journals

From the link:

Quote:second page of the very first journal were some words I had not seen, and they have stuck with me. The entry is from July 12, 2011. The passage begins with this:

“I have done shows for half of Louisville and I plan to take over the other half. I am already blessed with beauty but it is so much more when you are blessed with booty (followed by a smiley face).”

Some version of that appears in the book, but the next lines do not: “My goal is Rick Pitino. That’s were (sic) the money is. BINGO!!”

And the dots to the exclamation points are little hearts.

Powell never made it to Pitino directly. But she got there all the same.

Unrelated to the article, there is ALOT of speculation that the grand jury will be the next to be heard from and relatively soon.

That statement about Pitino sounds like she was planning on extorting money from him. We know that worked out so well for Sypher. Maybe they can be cell mates!

Second page of the first journal she admits to a working plot. I could be mistaken but wasn't Sypher sentenced in 2011? KP had to have been following that IMO.

As if having her daughters strip wasn't enough...

http://www.wdrb.com/story/30933922/trans...to-give-up

BLACKMON: He’s a man who are into this adult world, entertainment world. Would you be scared if your dad came to see you?

POWELL: No, my father has seen me.

BLACKMON: Oh my goodness.

POWELL: So let everything begin, because I will say again, my father and my whole family has seen me. They have come to my shows and they have supported me 100 percent. They may not have thrown any money, but they’ve helped, they supported me.

BLACKMON: Oh wow. My . . .

POWELL: I’m an open book.

BLACKMON: I’m sorry, I would have been like Lisa Ray’s character on Fellowship, I would have ran in the back. I’m sorry, I would have ran in the back.

POWELL: Just when it was my time to come out . ..

BLACKMON: You weren’t nervous?

POWELL: No. I’m telling you, I am an open book. I’m not ashamed of anything that I do.

BLACKMON: I’m sorry, I would have ran off the stage!

POWELL: No, they knew what they were coming to see. They were prepared. It was fun.

I couldn't do it as a father but adult entertainment is legal. Every girl in Playboy has a Dad. No judgement from me on this matter. Prostitution is not legal. Sex with minors is not legal. I think her age and these kids ages get lost in all of this. She was definitely an ambitious woman with a plan.

If it is, I'm sure he has as much dirt on uk as he does on UofL. uk fans had better hope it is not him.

Coaches don't have plausible deniability anymore because of Cal.

Why would ESPN resort to tabloid like reporting on OTL? They are clearly only interested in one side of the story. According to Ramsey on the Ramsey & Rutherford show on 93.9 Michael Maurer is friends with John Barr. Maurer is the IU booster of who owns IBJ Publishing & Barr is the "investigative reporter" on the 2 OTL pieces on ESPN. Is it possible that Barr is using OTL to help IBJ drive up book sells? Want another wild conspiracy theory, could Michael Maurer be "Coach Mike"? Interesting?

RE: Uh-Oh
What a slippery slope this has turned out to be.

http://www.wdrb.com/story/31876060/judge...ina-powell

From the link:

The women are claiming that the statements about them in the book are defamatory and Perry ruled that, “there could be a set of facts under which they would be able to” win the lawsuit.

Larry Wilder, an attorney for Powell, said in a statement that "after we depose the dancers and other witnesses we will be able to establish that Katina did nothing that damaged their character or reputation. Truth is an absolute defense to the claims of defamation."

Devils in the details. Larry might want to be careful what he proves. He may very well put his client in jail. Just pure speculation on my part but, if KP was hired to supply strippers and instead supplied whores, who is liable? In order to make claims, would KP have to give dates and locations and name girls and clients? If those claims don't add up are these girls going to get paid by IBJ?

Knowing who the owner of IBJ is, it might just be worth it to him.

The woman suing KP can't be changed with prostitution since the statute of limitations has passed. I'm wondering what this quote means:

"Larry Wilder, an attorney for Powell, said in a statement that "after we depose the dancers and other witnesses we will be able to establish that Katina did nothing that damaged their character or reputation. Truth is an absolute defense to the claims of defamation.""

After they "depose" the dancers they can convince them ($) to say whatever they want. KP could face charges of running a prostitution ring which comes with a stiffer penalty than prostitution & it doesn't have s statute of limitations, IRC. Would IBJ be willing to sacrifice KP? Don't forget about Andre, he isn't cleared yet either.

Find out all of this & more on "As Louisville Turns" continues.

KP is great at arranging dates but not so much remembering dates. Easy to make accusations. More money to be made testifying against IBJ than for them. I think the six girls are telling the truth. Mickey gonna try to buy them.
