Congrats re Liberty vs Georgia State
Nicely done guys, a team 60 scholarships beating a team with 85 scholarships is tough no matter who it is.

RE: Congrats re Liberty vs Georgia State
Thanks! We were looking forward to the game and it turned out well for us. We showed some progress by not collapsing like we usually do. We may not be auditioning for the Sun Belt anymore but hopefully someone sees us and wants us. The season is still young.

Our defense sucked. Maybe it's because we were going against an FBS offense but it wasn't pretty.

But what else is new? Georgia State's offense isn't bad so give them credit for scoring.

RE: Congrats re Liberty vs Georgia State
Of all games to miss, I had family that arrived 5 minutes before kick off and they stayed. I did slip away for a few minutes at a time but missed seeing and hearing the game. I guess that is good for the GaSt fans as I would have wanted to make some posts from the stats. And yes, family is more important than football.
One I noticed was the time of possession. LU 43 minutes to GaSt 16 minutes. That must be long, extended drives. And GaSt does have strong legitimate receivers so it was good to keep their offense off the field. Another stat was the LU only allowed 11 yards rushing. Granted if the LU defense is clamping down the GaSt offense, they have no other option but to pass, such as our position last week with Southern Illinois.
Reading the SBC posts, lots of praise for Gill and his prep. Unless one is a Coastal fan who can only sucker punch LU with every opportunity.
From reading the news reports and from viewing the stats, a very good win against a good offensive team. I'll give the LU defense a pass on this one due to their stopping the run.

Voss, that is a fairly strong statement game for LU. We're hoping that GaSt now upsets some SBC teams in conference play. That will only strengthen LU's post season position, and make LU more FBS credible. FBS away win games, even against GaSt is a good FBS win.
