Questions/comments about the revenue split
The P5 all get about the same and the G5 all get about the same, isn't that correct?
Even if we don't get a full share as the G5 next time around I think it will be a travesty if we don't get something less than G5...but still substantially more than the Sun Belt, CUSA and MAC.
What are the actual terms of the current contract? Does it reference any benchmarks regarding how the revenue split will look the next go around?

RE: Questions/comments about the revenue split
The G5 conferences will split up $86 million this year. Approximately $60 million is split up equally between the 5 leagues, so each league gets about $12 million (regardless of number of members, it's an even split by the 5 conferences). About $20 million is then split according to the conference power ratings, with the top rated conference taking home $7.5 million and the lowest rated taking home only about $1.5 million. The final $6 million is given to the conference with the G5 Access Bowl representative.
Thus, the loweest rated conference is still guaranteed to take home $14.5 million' but the highest rated conference with a G5 Access Bowl rep could take home as much as $25.5 million from the split.

Some of that money is split off and goes to the team.
The $6M for the access bowl is $4M to the conference, $2M to the team to cover expenses.
If a team makes the playoffs, its $6M to the conference, and $2M to the team.

The MWC has a different arrangement. They have a "bonus" money system where teams get $300k if their home game is selected to be shown on a major network, ESPN, or ESPN2 (not ESPN3, ESPNU, CBS Sports, NBC Sports, etc.) and that bonus jumps to $500k if that game is on a Saturday.
Boise also has a clause that guarantees their televised games will be on those networks, which means they are guaranteed to get more money that the rest of the conference.
If BSU makes it to a bowl formerly known as BCS (so if they change the bowl plan, whatever the BCS equivalent bowls would be) bowls, then instead of splitting the bigger paycheck, BSU gets to keep half & the other half is split amongst the remaining MWC teams. All other teams not BSU must split all bowl revenue evenly with the other members of the MWC.
