An early season test for the Hawkeyes will come when they travel to Tempe to face the Sun Devils, last season ASU went into Iowa with high expectations only to have their high powered offense shut down, Iowa won 21-2 and went on to have a very good season , including a whoopin' on the UF Gators, this season ASU is most likely to be the more improved squad of the two and Iowa lost some key players last season, it should be a tough game, and the Devils are thinking of payback as they were embarrased on ESPN.

There are a lot of good early nonconference games this year. I think Iowa will take it though, this team is underrated and could finish top 10.

Iowa's offense was poor last year but even looks worse this year.
Along with losing your kicker close games will be lost and you cannot compete with a team with really good offensive players.
I think Hawkeye fans are dreaming if they have a team that is a top 10, not even a top 10 defense let alone ranked there.
Somewhere and sometime you have to put up points and this team will struggle to.
Linebackers (2) and a three returning secondary guys and one worthy Lineman isn't going to do what the D did last year.
To small a secondary to stop good passing attacks like Purdue, Michigan and even Atheletes at OSU.

6-5 NO BETTER THAN 7-4 AND I AM BEING GENEROUS

have you not learned your lesson? for the past theree years we have heard oh the hawkyees lost key position players,(lost their starting Qb, RB, WR, the whole OL) they will be back to the bottom half of the big ten. In the last two years we finished in the TOP 10.

But you are on the way down, the Senior laden team from the past two is gone, the offense is in total shambles.
You had a SENIOR qb THE LAST THREE YEARS THIS YEAR YOU GET A MIDGET Soph.
No running game save a crippled up guy who couldn't beat me in the 40.
Not one reciever who has size, speed and few with experience other than Hinkle and he is no threat.
No TE another hole to fill and
lastly missing 3 OL and needing to replace that unit.

5 losses for sure maybe 6 and I am being kind here.

Defense is nowhere as good as last year, 3 new guys on the line and another coming back from being broken up.

No kicker, you lost one of the best and now have a huge hole there , that means a game or two.

We will be waving  goodbye at your team as they slip into the second Division. HEY BOILERS ALL WAVE NOW
HEY YOU IN THE BACK YOU TO!

Iowa will be decent, but they might get taken to the woodshed in the Big House after what's happened the last 2 years.

Our special teams unit will not use that stupid punt formation so don't count on any extra points that way.

Iowa will probably go 8-4 next year with losses to Minnesota, Michigan, Arizona State, and MAYBE Penn State or the bowl games...... Yes, I think they go 3-0 v Purdue, Ohio State, and Wisconsin b/c they're all home games, and they haven't lost in Kinnick since 02 Iowa State and prior to that 01 Michigan, and we all know what a miracle comeback that was with Marquise Walker's amazing catch.

It will be interesting to see how they do....

Iowa, Wisky, and Pu will battle for spots 4-5-6 in the Big10

Head to head will determine a lot.

Iowa will lose to Penn St. Minnesota and Michigan. AND either PU or Wisky

The pathetic offense of last year hasn't improved. The great Defense took a step backward with key losses. Kicker gone. Anyone seen the QB? Maybe that's the strategy...hide him.

I say 7-4 4-4 Big10
