Rhule staying in Philly...
http://philadelphia.cbslocal.com/2015/12...le-future/

“This is hard man,” Rhule admitted. “This is really, really hard. People start coming to your door and say hey, ‘I got four million dollars.’ But you know what, I’d rather coach Temple’s kids. I love these kids. I’d rather coach here and coach Temple’s kids then just sell my soul for four million dollars. That is the truth and that’s as honest and open as I can be with you guys.”

This is why we love this guy!!

Ugh. We need more doormats in the East. Can we move Cincy to the West?

Great news! Holding onto 2/3 is pretty good, especially for Temple and Houston. Memphis has administration that seems to care now so they should be fine as well

I'm happy for you guys. Out of the new teams the past few years, I've found myself rooting for Temple, Memphis, Houston and Navy.

If he got offered 4 million dollars and turned it down then I'm not congratulating him I'm questioning his sanity. Good for Temple if he does indeed stay, but that's silly talk there is no way in hell he turned down a 4 million dollar a year offer.

4 million would be a REALLY GOOD P5 salary.

Mizzou is SEC. 4 mill sounds about right. Crazy money being thrown around this year and Rhule is one of the hottest names.
Whose to question his sanity when he is happy and making a fortune.

I wonder if that was Mizzou. If Missouri is having issues attracting any non-P5 coach for $4M a year, they have got problems.

He seems like a pretty confident guy - if he keeps Temple humming, those offers will keep coming ...

Have you watched the news. They have a lot more problems than they need. Rhule got the offer that Odom has been dreaming of.

And Temple is taking care of him. Who can blame him for not wanting to move out there. His salary is the least of his worries right now. Good to see this out there before the kids suit up.

Good for Temple, very glad to hear it.

And I know exactly where he's coming from...I'd also rather stay with my coworkers, grinding it out here at my job, than just sell my soul for a few million dollars. That's just the kind of salt of the earth guys we are.

This is great news for Temple and for the conference. I love that we're actually holding onto some of our successful coaches right now. UCF has made what I think most people think is a strong hire (and over an ACC team's offer), so if Memphis and Tulane can pull out some good hires too, this conference is about to get even better.

Rhule is already making 1.5 million at Temple.

What's happening is the while the G5 still pays significantly less than the P5 they pay significant enough that its not an automatic move from a Top G5 like Temple or Houston to a P5 anymore.

Facilities are also important. Temple and Houston have better facilities than some P5 schools or nearly good enough.

Toledo offered a million to retain their coach but he left anyway for the Iowa State facilities and culture at that school.
