UVA is in good hands. This guy will provide yet another level of diversity in Charlottesville with his connections in the So Pacific. He knows where the quarterbacks are. It may take a year or so; but UVA has a winner here.

With new coaches there's often an uptick in transfers out. Wonder if there are any we may have interest in.

Richmond and JMU sound like they are going to be really good for 2 years or so...

This upcoming spring practice will be brutal. You can count on a wave of transfers.

I am mystified by the lack of interest in this story. D Teels column may change that. I'm convinced that this guy will bring UVA football up to the level of basketball and baseball. What say you?

Threads that have been moved to "Off Topic" have generally thought of as being sent to Siberia - nobody notices, and nobody cares who is in Siberia.

I think you're right 62; but Mendenhall will change the complexion of VA football.

I don't think he'll be able to do much. UVA football is rotten

Note to doubters. Bronco has assembled his staff. Note the Polynesian accent with these last names. This will be reflected in the roster. They will be butt kicking terrorizers who can throw, catch, run, and knock you into next week.

U.Va. added former ECU head coach Ruffin McNeil to their coaching staff

Good move for recruiting. Bronco brought in a lot of his guys from BYU, which is great for recruiting out west. Good to have someone with experience recruiting this area.

Might be harder to convince kids from Pacific islands to go all the way to Virginia c/w West Coast schools. Not an easy trip home.

There will be cultural issues to deal with. At various levels. Hopefully, these will be ironed out over time.

Couldn't help but wonder WTF as BYU gave up 35 in the opening 8 minutes vs the Utes. It was fascinating to watch the 50 or so minutes as BYU clawed back. That's telling. Utah athletics rose up Saturday with wins in MSG vs the pukies, and in Las Vegas.
