Artificial turf for baseball sucks...especially for teams in the "South" (yes, Northern Louisiana is still in the South).

Whats even worse is now they have artificial turf for DIRT TOO
...and it looks like this La Tech field won't even have real dirt on their infield, baselines, batter's box, etc...

Only "dirt" on that field will be the pitcher's mound.

That's just wrong....oh so wrong.

I guess you guys could have offered to vacate wins during that timeframe but since you were 2-25, it likely would not have impressed the NCAA. I don't blame you Tech fans for not recalling the details. I'd have done everything possible to forget that timeframe as well.
This is honestly the first I have heard of this. Don't recognize any of the names except Stovall who was our AD in the late 80s early 90s I think. Are you trying to compare these allegations to cheating on the ACT?

I wasn't comparing anything, merely pointing out that BRTransplant lives in a glass house. LaTech, like many other universities in the past, had a head coach who cheated and got caught. Making fun of others for the failings of their employees often comes back to bite one in one's own ass.

Wow, its a joke that you're a moderator. Are you like 12 or something...ULL fans are a laughing stock. Y'all's infatuation is honestly quite a compliment. And oh, if I were you, I would advise your compadre to avoid bringing up academics in this conversation...that argument y'all will definitely lose.

Is there a factual error in anything I've posted in this thread?

Yes, there are a lot of lies in your post. (To no one's surprise!) One of my best friends for over 50 years (we grew up together) is a former LA Tech Athletic Director from 1994 to 2007. I asked him about your post. He said you are a liar. He said ULL has a very long history of corruption, and that you are simply attempting to deflect the heat to LA Tech. He said you made all this stuff up.

I believe him.

Of course, I told him I was SHOCKED to hear that someone named "Cajun Fanatico" would tell lies about LA Tech. Just shocked, I tell you. 03-lmfao

Odd that your friend, if he was indeed AD from 1994 to 2007, would not know or recall anything about this story and call me a liar.

On Tuesday, 12 April 1994, Louisiana Tech was placed on one probation for the NCAA violations listed above, violations which the school admitted to by waiving the appeals process.

While I readily admit that I consider LaTech our chief rival in the State of Louisiana, and I very much enjoy yanking BRTransplant's chain, I'm not one to talk out of my ass when making an assertion such as the one above. There are far too many people on the internets who are far smarter than I and who would correct such an error in a heartbeat.

I don't suffer hypocrits easily which is why I responded to this thread in the first place. Google is your friend HotDawg. Don't fear the truth.

You can apologize for calling me a liar via PM if you'd rather not do so in public, and again, if you can point out any factual inaccuracies in the claims I've made, please do so and I'll correct them.

Yeah. That stuff is easy to find. Just google: ncaa major violations database

Of course, there is quite a big difference in probation for a year and the death penalty, but fact is fact.

I guess it's unsurprising that we (and when I say "we", I mean "some of you freaking people" 03-nerner ) can't discuss grass on a ball field without smacking the thread to hell and back.

I'm thinking this will all be part of that big lawsuit that they is planning on, up there in Dogpatch, S. Ark.

What a bunch of pitiful, silly little mutts they are.
