I had one person who couldn't weigh in on Tuesday, and didn't think they'd be able to weigh in until the next Tuesday. Without a weight for two Tuesdays, they'd have to forfeit both matches (as they didn't have an ending weight for week 1, or a beginning weight for week 2).

My rule proposal would allow them to only have 1 forfeit loss. (for week 1), but for week 2, I'd take their 2 week weight loss, and divide it in half to adjust for the extended time. Is everyone ok with this?

Fine with me

I appreciate the opinions. I've never ran a contest similar to this one (with head to head matchups) so I'm having to fine tune the rules in progress. Hopefully that'll be the last edit.

Week 1 results will be up in an hour or so.

I'm not sure any of us are that into the rules and if anyone gets pissed at you then they should just be banned.

I just appreciate you taking your time to put together this friendly/healthy challenge.

You have a shot. I'm your opponent. But after the results I'll tell you where you went wrong on your weigh in haha

I normally weigh myself with gym clothes on when I got home, I went right to the scale. A little disappointed, I pee'd, changed into my gym clothes and dropped 2 lbs.

I usually take a dump in the morn then weigh myself naked and just as it starts calculating I exhale. Gotta get every thing out of me.

Take Metamucil before you go to bed.

Seriously?

Good job this week, I think you should celebrate. Domino’s Pizza has this Monday-Thursday carryout special: get a large 3-topping pizza for $7.99.

Also TGI Friday’s has 3 Buck Thursdays with $3 drinks (House Long Island Tea, House Margarita and House Mojito) and half-priced appetizers in the bar. For more details, check out the TGI Friday’s daily specials menu. TGI Friday’s also has daily Happy Every Hour deals with drink and appetizer specials.

Well, I had 3 pieces of pizza yesterday for lunch. I'm also lifting weights and trying to get bigger which is going against this weight lose challenge.

Looking over the first week's results, it appears that gdunn was the hard-luck loser (-1.90% vs. firmbizzle's -2.07%). gdunn had the 8th best weight-loss percentage of the week. He would have won seven of the other 13 matches.

Lucky winner is seniorowl, whose +0.48% weight gain was less than Eagle4Christ's +0.80% increase. A win is a win, we Owls say. :-)

Well last night I lost 3 lbs and it was not fun. What is the old saying? "I'm just one good stomach flu from my goal weight." Damn, I feel like I've been run over by a Mac truck.

Here is a question...what are you folks doing to lose weight/fat?

Personally, I've changed my eating habits to more and smaller meals.

Second, I'm doing an at home workout...The Master's Hammer and Chisel 6 days per week with 1 rest day. The downside of this workout is that it would be closer to a strength training class than a true weight loss cardio class. However, the muscle add will be more beneficial long term.

I'm also tracking my waist size...I started at a 38.5 inch and am down to 37.5 already.

RE: CSNBBS Weight Loss League - Official Thread
basically, keeping up with our normal diet at home (we're usually pretty good about cooking fairly healthy items), eating out less (this is my big killer), and finally getting back to the gym after a couple years hiatus. I can't workout enough yet (only 3 days a week right now) but working towards more. Gym is mainly weights with a little bike time for warm up.

Though I did a spin class with my wife about a week ago. Damn did my boys hurt during/after that!
