A ten hour season can't compare to a full length book, but the makers of the show have done a great job. No way the show is only a 5. Rate the show on its own merit, not in comparison to the books.

I agree. IMO it's the best show on TV nowadays. 9/10 if that low.

Nothing Earth shattering, but a good start to what should be a wild season.

RE: OT: Game of Thrones - Potential Spoilers
Love the show. We have a GOT Lunch every Monday. I had HBO the last 2 seasons so I watched it Sundays with my wife then Monday at lunch with my coworkers in our conference room. It helped to watch it twice and then talk about it with friends. My wife didn't do that and got burned out on trying to make sense of it all. We didn't get HBO this year and she said she's fine with not watching it anymore.

I give it a 9/10 and not a 10 just because there is at times too much 10 min story lines from each area so it at times tends to get into lulls as it builds story. But overall absolutely awesome show.

Everyone should give it a hand!

Read the books the TV show follows them ok. At times they change things up and im ok with it, other times they seem to draw out parts that the book made way simpler. (Looking at you John Snow)

You guys think they will split up Book 3 and 4. I know book 3 is the longest but book 4 took place at the same time as book 3.
(storm of swords, and feast for crows)

So far the whore scenes have been .... amped up a bit lol.
Miranese launch any one?

I thought it was the Myranese knot.

But, in all seriousness, congratulations Podrick. So good they paid you back!

Pod, LOL!

Book 3 (Storm of Swords) is split into two seasons (current and next season). Book 4 (Feast for Crows) and Book 5 (Dance with Dragons) are the ones that happen at the same time.

There's plenty of content in FfC and DwD to fill 4 seasons, but that would make for 4 really boring seasons. I'm hoping the Meeranese Knot is severly shortened, always felt Martin didn't know how to keep Dany's parts in the top of stories unless he told us the details everytime she farted.

Since it took him 5 years to get FfC out and 7 for DwD; here's hoping HBO gives those two books 3 seasons and puts a little pressure on him to get Winds of Winter out the door quicker. Either Martin will have to go into overdrive or HBO will wrap the series up themselves long before A Dream of Summer hits the bookshelves.

This. I was getting tired of Khalisi (however it's spelled) and that story line but this season she's gone straight to ba and going to be bringing pain.

I might actually start reading book three.

BTW, this season has been a little short on the boobies at times.

Thought Sunday's episode was one of the better ones.
For those interested, a reminder, just saw where Falling Skies returns June 9th.
