Good southern football add and a decent east coast basketball add.

I can tell ya why 16 doesn't want USM added to AAC...he thinks that Tulane has finally got a leg up on Southern Miss on recruiting..thinking that belonging to the AAC makes Tulane more attractive than Southern Miss but he doesn't realize that Southern still out-recruits the Greenies no matter what conference they are in. Yes, the AAC looks more attractive than CUSA, but not the Greenies. Others in the members in the AAC, yes..but not the Greenies.

Greenwave16 fails to realize the addition of USM would do nothing but help them more than hurt them.

The USM AD used to work at South Florida so I am sure he was just there catching up with old friends and cheering on his former university if he was even there at all. And you need to go easy yourself.

S. Miss has like a Sun Belt budget and AAC does not pay that much more than CUSA.. And they can't take the academic risks in AAC that allow them to compete in CUSA. Don't like the addition if AAC does expand.

I still don't see Aresco wanting to add a small market program to the AAC. I have to believe NIU (who claims Chicago), Umass, or even Ga State would be ahead of them. Heck even Witchita St as a non fb.

Aresco is a tv guy. Southern Miss does nothing for the tv end of things.

Let me ask you something, you being a fan of a member from the AAC, which would you personally like to have your conference based on:

A) a good solid strong conference with most or atleast half the league competitive with as many programs representing your league in bowls that have potential to have outstanding years ??

B) a conference with 3-4 maybe 5 if you are lucky, with competiveness on the field with possiblities of bowls that have potential to have outstanding years but have several members that wouldn't pull their weight on the field but have the market (ex: UMASS, Wichita St).

Swap Tulane for USM.

Didn't Aresco already state that if we lost one team we'd add another bc 11 doesn't work, but that if we lost two we'd stay at 10?

I don't have any ill will towards So Miss, but I do not believe they'll get picked up.

Stay at 9 full members + Navy football only.
Add VCU, Dayton, Wichita State and St Joe's for all other sports.

Swap ECU for Rice.
