LU NASCAR Win!
Anybody else see that the Liberty University #9 driven by William Byron won the NASCAR Craftsman Truck series race?

RE: LU NASCAR Win!
I'm not a NASCAR fan so I wouldn't know who won unless I was told. Regardless, I want to see Liberty's success so I'm happy! To be honest, I wasn't sure that Liberty still had a vehicle it was racing. My perception (whether real or imagined) was that it has been a complete failure from a competition standpoint and this may be the first win that I know of in the 10 years or so it's been around.

RE: LU NASCAR Win!
Another big win, this time in Texas! NASCAR is a great marketing tool. US Armed Forces has been involved for years.

With 43 laps to go, Crafton and Byron hooked up in a six-lap, side-by-side duel that lasted until the former took the lead on Lap 129. Crafton held the point until Lap 163, when Byron drove his No. 9 LIBERTY University Toyota Tundra into the lead for good.

RE: LU NASCAR Win!
3 wins in the first 9 races is outstanding! Looks like we might be a force to be reckoned with this season. I think Byron/Liberty won the championship last year in their stock car. It'd be great if we can win another championship this year. Wonder if Liberty would be interested in jumping up to the next level as Byron progresses?

I can't imagine Jr. would be willing to fork over this type of cash.

LU NASCAR Win!
Liberty U. NASCAR truck picked up its 5th win of the season. They are comfortably in first place in the championship race. LU is dominating the sport. Wish that could translate over to our school sports. But hey! It's great publicity for the school.
