They had to be guilted into it and then they totally overcompensate and make it look laughably stupid.

I noticed that as well. It was good for a chuckle.

So basically if you are a Republican it is acceptable to be over the top with expressing your patriotism but if you are a Democrat it is unacceptable.

That's what happens when you give the Democrats 2 terms as president and a Senate and House majority. Time to turn back that clock as we did the nuclear clock (if you are old enough to remember-countdown to destruction).

wait, what?

Wait a minute. Someone who worked for Reagan , whose mental issues were questioned even while he was president, is calling Trump unbalanced? Dang thats hard core.

You apparently didnt get the memo on why certain things were handed out. Hillary was having issues with Bernie supporters and with the anti-military group of delegates. Right before a speaker came on stage that they knew would "trigger" a group of their delegates, they would hand out a bunch of signs and have them wave them and scream while the protestors would be shouting.

These were not signs of patriotism. They were a facade used as a distraction from what was really happening on the floor.

So you can't be patriotic and strategic at the same time?
