I'm just glad I have matured since my college days and mid-20s. It's so nice to not get emotionally wrapped up in results lol. As the great Lemmy from Motörhead once sang "You win some, lose some, it's all the same to me". It was a sloppy game but there are 10 more (hopefully 12) games to improve.

Yep. Football, while certainly a good pastime, is way down on the list of things that actually matter.
Tough break. It hurts most because the Vandys and Indianas and such are the teams we have to beat when we get a shot at them. Barring a miracle, which does happen occasionally, we aren't gonna beat the Bamas LSUs and Ohio States. Hopefully MT regroups and gets things going from here on out.

I did get insanely frustrated last night and here's why....
1. Nix and West have always been mediocre DCs. They don't adapt to our opponent because it's almost like they don't know how. I wanted them out at the end of last season. Our atrocious, F graded, defense last night proved why. Vandy gave us the same run game as last year and we did not adapt what so ever. Did Nix and West even watch film from last year? Because from what I witnessed, it looks like they did nothing this past week except drink Margaritas and lie around.
2. Take Richie James off of special teams. I love the kid, don't get me wrong. He's fast and can maneuver, but good God he sucks at punt returns.
3. Stockstill was out of his element tonight. The pressure got to him and I could physically see him getting angry as he walked off the field after a failed 3rd down several times. Many of his passes were low and he missed several open WRs. Our WRs also missed several, no mistake, passes.
4. Mistakes and penalties. Too many and many were flat out stupid and rookie mistakes. We have got to clean up.
Overall, I honestly give last night's performance a D-. It's Vandy. There is no good reason what so ever why we failed that bad to a bottom feeder SEC school. I see a loss to Bowling Green, since apparently, we only prepare for SunBelt and CUSA play, and I believe La Tech will hand us our butts upside down in Floyd. Not going to be a good year if defense doesn't pick up and mistakes don't dwindle.

in ~10 yrs.....you guys will be playing them every year...
I think most believe the 'elite' are going to part ways with those by then....
I'm calling it, "collusion....Hillary can get away with it....why not?:
I really and honestly thought MT would win this game. I thought Stockstill would pick them apart and you guys would win. Just one game though in a long season.

He passed for 400 yards and that was on an off night. It was the everything else that could go wrong and did that really screwed us over.
