If we get a good bump in revenue, the contract absolutely must include a pro rata provision, to ensure we can pick off anyone we want.

That would guarantee the AAC's future.

Based on what we saw last night, "Coogin it" could have a completely different meaning this year and it could become a 4th qtr battle cry.

actually, it's clearly following us around. it's been where we've played in 2 out of 3 games so far.

Agreed, Palmer was extremely complimentary of both programs, going so far to say there is no good reason why both should not be in a power conference, especially the XII. Had not heard an ESPN talking head during a game be so pro AAC teams ever.

And they were like that the whole game. Even the halftime crew was. Never saw that before even while the BE was kickin ass and taking names in the BCS bowls during Cincy's tenure there. The whole game I was thinking the tide is finally turning.

Yes, Houston and Cincinnati are solid football programs but let's not forget the other strong programs currently in this league who also have proven themselves over the years like -

Navy
ECU (repeatedly defeating so called p5 teams)
USF
Temple
UCF (awesome defeat over Baylor)
Tulsa
SMU (SWC)
Memphis
UConn (old Big east)
Tulane (1998 undefeated season)

My point for this ^^^ above, the AAC shouldn't be lumped with the G4's and rather be view as a power league or an independent conference till it gets paid what it deserves. I'm calling $13 mil floor numbers $$$ and settling at say $10 mil for everyone in the AAC.

$10 million a year is very plausible I believe the way the league is constructed right now. The American brand has been really good but that has been because of the coverage on ESPN, if they don't want to pay. Go to a network like NBCSN where you're the top-dog on the channel, they have a lot of subscribers and that works in their favor plus being on NBC would help too with their coverage the Premier League, NASCAR, NHL, Olympics & Notre Dame Football.

I am such a Houston troll that I watched the entire Oklahoma-Houston game begging for a Cougar victory. Go look at the thread for that game.

It was a gag. You won the game. Don't be petty. And I do know what I am doing. I picked Houston.

Love that it was our 300 pound nose tackle that was dragging Taylor into the endzone on that pick 6. Big Ed is a FREAK.
