I had a feeling when the EaglePost board went down the final time and many posters migrated over here that something like this would happen sooner rather than later

If you could only able to wash the taste of Donnie Tyndall's seed out of your purdy lil' mouth, you'd be able to communicate more effectively. Unfortunately, it appears ole Donnie has twisted your ear and made you squeal like a pig one too many times.

Some of you guys need to get a grip.

1) UNCC isn't going anywhere. You voted them in, you're stuck with them. As you are with all of the programs you added. Insulting them in your community forum accomplishes nothing.

2) Greenfield programs frequently suck much more than FCS moveups. And due to the asymmetric class sizes inherent to new programs, there's usually TWO sucky time periods. The first one happens at inception. The second one happens about 6 years later when the team has moved up and has to replace massive amounts of players all at once (My guess is that UTSA is going through that now). While UAB has a great coach...I'd expect UAB to have to go through the same 'greenfield transition' as UNCC did. This isn't Charlotte, this is what happens when you add a greenfield.

3) Why all this focus on UNCC? Seriously, I'm pretty sure that I can name a bunch of programs in CUSA and the Belt that are sucking pretty badly right now. Only difference between UNCC and those programs.....UNCC is supposed to suck right now...the other teams aren't.

4) When watching UNCC, you should be looking for the following...How is the program progressing? Are they building a coaching infrastructure? How are the players developing? How competitive are they in the first half (before the obvious depth issues come in to greater focus in the 2nd half)? Does it look like the fans are coming around? How's recruiting?

I've never been a fan of UNCC (going back to the A-10 days), but the criticism of UNCC in this case is unfair.
