Sling TV interest and regional sports availability
We'll be relocating to FL in the next 6 months. Currently we're cord cutters only streaming on Roku. We watch literally no broadcast TV and have little interest in sitcom and reality TV.

Have been checking out the web available in our area (Port Orange/Daytona Beach). It's Brighthouse, AT&T and DSL Extreme. Brighthouse and AT&T have limits on streaming and push TV and phone options. DSL Extreme, which uses the lines of AT&T, states it has no streaming limits and charges by speed vs. data used.

Sling TV offers a basic package an enhanced package and add on options. In considering Sling my only interest is sports programming. They do mention FS1 and FS2 as regional sports channels.

I would like to hear from others who use Sling, and especially folks in FL who have their regional sports network. And if anyone uses DSL Extreme in FL.

I imagine your offerings will be broadly similar to what I have here. So let me enumerate the channels you'd need if you want all the college football games:

1) Fuhrer Mickey's Cabal .... ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, ABC, ACCN, SECN, LHN ... even ESPN news if you demand on catching the early part of a game where the previous content is running long.
1b) Fuhrer Mickey's Internet Cabal ..... WatchESPN ..... this is dependent upon your ISP paying the hush money to Mickey to give you, their subscriber, access.
3) The FOX Cabal ... FOX, FS1, FS2, BTN
4) The regional FOX channels. For me that is FOX Sports Charlotte and FOX SportsSouth.
5) Major market OTA (local ABC, NBC, CBS, FOX, CW, etc)... and yes, even CW carries ACC games every week.
6) Arena League Football has to air SOMEWHERE: NBC SN, CBS SN ... typically carries G5 games, AFL, etc
7) Probably impossible: Pac-12 Network ..... I've only ever seen it in a few hotels in Seattle and Los Angeles.
8) The hard up die hard: Smaller conferences offer a variety of free/pay stream services.... OVC, Big South, Patriot, C-USA, and the MWC all have streaming sites I'm aware of. I'm sure there's more.

"WatchESPN" is just the name of the app itself, which can be used to stream any ESPN property that you can provide credentials for (have an appropriate cable/sat subscription). ESPN, ESPN2, etc

ESPN3 is content that can only be accessed via WatchESPN. But, even if you don't have a cable subscription, you can access ESPN3 content if your ISP pays for it.

I follow UofM football, Miami Heat and the MLB Marlins in that order. Other teams I follow can be viewed by team or conference streaming (Big South, Liberty). I'm hoping FS1 or 2 FL will carry the FL teams I follow.

I cut the cord as mostly a protest against Dish and the multiple shopping, religious and Lifetime style programs I never watched but was forced to pay for. I just want my a la carte choices to meet my needs.
