Former JMU standout Arthur Moats, who spent the last four seasons with the Steelers, told me told me at CAA Media Day this morning that he'll fly to Arizona to visit the Cardinals later today.
"We're going to check them out and see if we can get a deal done," he said.

Just saw that but wondering if that's football or could be something else. I'm not fluent enough in emoji to know what the backpack means.
Also too old to be fluent... but... Packers?
Just an update.
Kyre tweet from yesterday afternoon:
"Thank you , @AtlantaFalcons for the opportunity today. On to the next page. God got me"
To me it sounds like the opportunity didn't pan out.

RE: Pro Dukes
I haven't been paying attention to Football yet (hoping my Cardinals make this baseball season worthwhile with a second half rally). Enjoying a beer out and about and saw the HOF game without sound. It looked like a pass hit Brown right in the gut and he dropped.
Any reports from any Bear fans (or any other team with some Dukes involved) that can give some updates from training camp?

RE: Pro Dukes
NFL Hall of Fame Weekend in Canton, Ohio. 2018 class includes...
-Bobby Beathard, Cal Poly (while entering the Hall for his executive and GM success, interesting to note his background...accepted a scholarship to play at LSU but returned home to El Segundo, California, after only a few weeks after reporting to Baton Rouge due to being homesick...played one year at El Camino Junior College before moving on to Cal Poly)
-Robert Brazile, Jackson State (6th round pick in '75 draft)
-Brian Dawkins, Clemson (2nd round pick in '96 draft)
-Jerry Kramer, Idaho (4th round pick in '58 draft)
-Ray Lewis, Miami (1st round pick in '96 draft, though 25 players were selected before him in 1st round)
-Randy Moss, Marshall (1st round pick in '98 draft, though 20 players were selected before him in 1st round...originally signed with Notre Dame while in high school but was dropped due to a racially-charged fight...wound up at Florida State for 1 year before transferring to Marshall after being dismissed from F$U...won a 1-AA championship in '96 before Marshall moved to 1-A the following season, his last of 2 college seasons)
-Terrell Owens, Chattanooga (3rd round pick in '96 draft)
-Brian Urlacher, New Mexico (1st round and 9th overall pick in 2000 draft)
Cal Poly, Marshall, Chattanooga, New Mexico, Jackson State, Idaho...the Hall of Fame continues to be loaded with guys from lesser known (or smaller division) football programs. Congrats to all of the awardees and continued good luck to our Dukes as they attempt to make the 53-man roster or at least practice squad.

For starters, ESPN.com has these guys listed...
Daniel Brown...Chicago Bears...Tight End
Earl Watford...Chicago Bears...Guard
Rashard Davis...Philadelphia Eagles...Wide Receiver
Raven Greene...Green Bay Packers...Safety
Dean Marlowe...Buffalo Bills...Safety
Aaron Stinnie...Tennessee Titans...Offensive Lineman
Josh Wells...Jacksonville Jaguars...Offensive Tackle
I think we are missing at least one or two???
As best as I can tell these are the JMU players currently in camp with NFL teams. Moats was signed after your post so I think your list was accurate. As far as I have read none of the rookie-camp invitees were signed/invited to full camp.
Brown - Chicago
Davis - Philadelphia
Greene - Green Bay
Marlowe - Buffalo
Moats - Arizona
Stinnie - Tennessee
Watford - Chicago
Wells - Jacksonville
I thought Andrew Ankrah was signed as a UDFA in the spring so this would've come with a camp invite, but I have not seen his name mentioned anywhere so he might be a potential addition to this list.

RE: Pro Dukes
From the local paper in regards to Rashard Davis:
Rashard Davis, WR
Davis has been impressive during the team drills so far at camp. He has caught all 10 of the 12 passes thrown his way including a long-ball from quarterback Nate Sudfeld in 11-on-11 drills. He has helped his chances of making the roster so far during camp.

RE: Post #1, FYI, Corey Oswalt has been starting (relatively serviceably) for the Mets for a little while now.
EDIT: Also, Corey Oswalt never went to JMU haha. James Madison High School in San Diego, CA, drafted straight from there.

Why, on God's green Earth, would we claim anyone on the lowly Mets anyway?

Ok, now I feel pretty confident that all of post 1 is accurate from top to bottom. If you think I am missing someone from any sport please let me know.

Appreciate the update. It would be great to see Jake finally get called up to the Show, especially if it’s the Nationals!
